Larcenia Roe Premiere New Single & Music Video "Sandy Cheeks"

Deathcore outfit Larcenia Roe have taken a political turn with their latest single, “Sandy Cheeks”. The new track takes aim at U.S. defense spending on foreign conflicts and the nation’s growing debt, repeatedly asking, “How many people need to fucking die?” Directed by Garrett Barefoot, the accompanying music video also incorporates subtle Middle Eastern musical influences.

The band commented:

“‘Sandy Cheeks‘ questions the United States’ defense spending on foreign conflict. Since 2001, the U.S. has spent roughly $8 trillion on post-9/11 wars and related costs. Since 2022, Congress has also committed hundreds of billions of dollars to overseas military assistance, security support, and military operations tied to conflicts abroad. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has never passed a full financial audit, and the national debt has climbed to more than $39 trillion.”

The single arrives just ahead of the launch of the ‘Canadian Heritage Tour‘, with AngelMaker headlining and Ingested appearing as direct support.
