A Perfect Circle Premiere New Single & Visualizer "Starless"

Multi-platinum alternative metal band A Perfect Circle have released a new single titled “Starless,” arriving just ahead of the kickoff to their European/UK summer tour. The run marks the group’s first return to the region in roughly eight years.

Frontman Maynard James Keenan (also of Tool and Puscifer) shared the following about the newly released track:

“Absolutely chuffed to debut this new track on stage in the U.K.. Of course I’m excited to release the recordings but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live.”

Recording sessions for the new track from the celebrated supergroup took place at guitarist/vocalist Billy Howerdel’s Lankershim Ranch Studio in Studio City, California. Howerdel also produced the song, with mixing handled by Matty Green (U2, TV On The Radio). Studio drums on the track were performed by Josh Freese, who has recently rejoined Nine Inch Nails.

Sharing his thoughts on the song, Howerdel added: “Some songs get kicked around and massaged for years. But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along.”

A Perfect Circle have an extensive touring schedule planned for 2026, with many dates set to see Keenan pulling double duty alongside his alternative rock project Puscifer:
