Staind's Aaron Lewis Premieres New Solo Single "Give My Country Back"

Staind vocalist/guitarist Aaron Lewis has premiered the title track to his upcoming solo country album “Give My Country Back.” Known for weaving his right-wing political views into his solo material, Lewis continues that approach on the lyrics for this lead single.

Lewis has already been performing the song live during recent tour dates and is expected to spend much of the year touring in support of the album, including appearances at the controversial “Rock The Country” festivals. He also recently introduced politically themed merchandise tied to that run, which generated backlash online.

The new album is scheduled for release on July 17th through Big Machine Records. Looking ahead, Lewis is expected to return his attention to Staind in 2027, with the band reportedly already having completed work on their ninth studio album.

“Give My Country Back” track-list:

01 – “The Door“
02 – “Bad Thing To Be Good At“
03 – “Too High For This“
04 – “List Of Things To Quit“
05 – “Give My Country Back“
06 – “People I’ve Known“
07 – “Let Go Like The Rain“
08 – “A Showman’s Life“
09 – “Keeping Up With The Jonesin’“
10 – “Duct Tape And Bailing Wire“

The lyrics for this latest single include:

“If you don’t like my country, you can give my country back
I don’t mind you leaving, hell I’ll even help you pack
Take a bus, a plane, a truck, a train
To where they like the way you act
‘Cause if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back

You’ve been crying like a fiddle, you’ve been whining like a steel
I tried to care just a little, but here’s the way I feel
I hate to bust your bubble, but I don’t mind if I do
But keep stirring up the trouble, but there’s more of us than you

And if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back
Yeah, I don’t mind you leaving, hell I’ll even help you pack
Take a bus, a plane, a truck, a train
To where they like the way you act
If you don’t like my country, you can give my country back

Now we’re standing on the shoulders of the ones that went before
Proud of what they did to make it all worth dying for
Yeah, you bite the hands that feeds you
And it ought to be a crime
You wave a flag from somewhere else while you’re burning mine

And if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back
Hey, I don’t mind you leaving, hell I’ll even help you pack
Take a bus, a plane, a truck, a train
To where they like the way you act
If you don’t like my country, you can give my country back

You keep telling us you’re leaving
Don’t believe in what we believe in
There’s the door, you can leave the freedom
I’ll be here pledging my allegiance

And if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back
Yeah, I don’t mind you leaving, hell I’ll even help you pack
Take a bus, a plane, a truck, a train
To where they like the way you act
‘Cause if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back

Yeah, if you don’t like my country, you can give my country back
If you don’t like my country, you can kiss my country ass”
