Australian Heavy Metal Music Awards Winners Announced
The first annual Australian Heavy Metal Music Awards took place on Friday, February 4 at the UC Bar, Canberra. Award winners were as follows:
Best Vocalist - Tim Grose (DUNGEON)
Best Guitarist - Aaron Bilbija (DAYSEND)
Best Bass Player - Mark Palfreyman (ALARUM)
Best Drummer - Matt Racovalis (ALARUM)
Best Keyboardist - Adam Agius (ALCHEMIST)
Best New Band - THE AMENTA
Best Album – "Eventuality" (ALARUM)
Best Video Clip – "First Contact" (ALCHEMIST)
Best Overall Band - ALARUM
The night also featured an hour-long set from Hall-of-Fame inductees and veteran Australian thrash metallers MORTAL SIN.
