Iceland's Beneath has issued the following announcement about releasing an upcoming album:
"Our new album 'The Barren Throne' will be released on Unique Leader Records on April 29th. Below is the track list. We are also thrilled to announce that we will premiere a lyric video for 'Chalice' very soon so keep your eyes peeled!"

After recruiting a new vocalist, Iceland's Beneath has posted the following message online about recording an upcoming album:
"The recording of the new album is progressing nicely, we've done all drums, rhythm guitars, and most of the guitar solos.
"Gísli has started laying down the bass and tomorrow we'll start with the vocals - our first recordings with new vocalist Benedikt.
"The songs are really starting to come together and sound really tight with the production work of the Wieslawski brothers who have worked very hard with us to make this record as good as it can be."
Beneath split with the band's vocalist back in April, and now the band has posted the following statement online about recruiting a replacement:
"Say hello to our new vocalist Benedikt! He is known here in Iceland for his other acts such as Offerings, Hindurvættir and Azoic, but now he has joined Beneath and we are really happy with his decision.
"We believe he is the best man possible to fill Gísli´s shoes and look forward to integrating his elements into the band.
"He will record vocals for our next album, which will be recorded abroad, and he has already started working on vocal structures for the new songs."

Iceland's Beneath has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band's vocalist Gísli Sigmundsson:
"Our vocalist Gísli has decided to step down from his vocal duties in Beneath due to personal reasons. The split is completely amicable on both sides and we would like to thank Gísli for all his contributions to Beneath over the years.
"This will not have any impact on our upcoming gig at the SWR Barroselas festival in Portugal, that will be Gisli's last show with the band.
"While we will miss Gísli be assured that Beneath is stronger than any one of us and we will continue to deliver some quality extreme Icelandic death metal for the unforseeable future!" More...
Reykjavik death squad Beneath has issued its new album "Enslaved by Fear" on Unique Leader Records. Below is an upload of "Lies of the Dead," plus most of the other songs from the album are streaming over on YouTube. The Icelandic band first came to prominence back in 2010 with the release of its EP "Hollow Empty Void" on Mordbrann Musikk. “Enslaved By Fear” was mixed by Daniel Bergstrand at Dug Out studios in Uppsala, Sweden and artwork was handled by Raymond Swanland. The members of Beneath have all been active in the Icelandic metal scene for some years and some current and former bands of theirs include Sororicide, Changer, Atrum and Diabolus to name a few.
Icelandic death metal band Beneath has announced their signing to Unique Leader Records. The band has completed recording their new album and the is currently mixing and mastering the effort. Artwork will be done by Raymond Swanland.
