Shaded Enmity Drummer In Serious Car Accident

Seattle act Shaded Enmity has issued the following announcement about the band's drummer being involved in a car accident:

"November 16th at 6 pm, Shaded Enmity drummer Simon Dorfman was in a serious car accident involving a Seattle transit metro bus. The bus was traveling at over 40 mph when it struck his truck. Simons truck was completely totaled by the 10 ton bus and he was taken to the hospital. More details to come. Your thoughts and condolences would be appreciated at this point. Visit his facebook page and leave a message."

The band also later posted this follow-up message online:

"We would like to thank everyone who has offered their support and condolences to Simon. He was discharged from the hospital and is at home resting. I spoke with him for a little bit and he is in good spirits, but understandably sore.

"The accident happened in front of our practice space. I arrived 15 minutes after the accident occurred to find the mangled and completely unrecognizable truck that had belonged to Simon. A metro transit bus t-boned his truck as he was turning into our practice space, sending his vehicle spinning into the rest of traffic. Paramedics came immediately and strapped him to a gurney and took him to the hospital. Simon is a tough guy and it's going to take a lot more than a bus to stop him. Once again, thank you all for your concern and well wishes, Simon appreciate them very much."

Shaded Enmity Parts Ways With Guitarist

Shaded Enmity has issued the following update regarding the departure of guitarist Rob Steinway on their MySpace page:

"After years of service, Rob Steinway has decided to part ways with Shaded Enmity. Simon and myself wish him the very best in his next endeavors as anyone who gets Rob in their band is very lucky to have him."

"That being said, this position is not the easiest to fill, and can be a bit technical when it comes to the parts. I would handle all the leads in the band, but it is quite difficult to do some of the more complex leads over my vocal parts. Please read the requirements listed, and if you believe you fit these drop me an email at joe_nurre@hotmail.com"

"1. Must have your own gear. We play in E Standard, so in addition to a guitar that stays in tune, you need a tube head and some sort of 4x12 cabinet.
2. Your own transportation, and the ability to haul your own gear to shows.
3. Good stage presence is a must, you dont necessarily need to spin your head 100 mph like Rob does, but dont be a statue.
4. We practice twice a week, and you must be able to contribute financially to practices.
5. Absolutely NO DRUGS or ALCOHOLICS PERIOD. I have played with way too many to know that its not good times. Pot is just fine.
6. Read 5 again.
7. Have a steady right hand and please be able to communicate in musical terms meaning please know what i am talking about when i say "play an E there, or play G right here etc..."
8. After i wrote all the songs I tabbed them out for Rob so there is basic guitar tablature available for the parts. Please be able to read that.
9. We are not looking for the next Yngwie or Loomis, just someone who can play solid leads and rythms on occasion."

Shaded Enmity Parts Ways With Bassist Zach Palmer

Washington melodic death metal band Shaded Enmity has issued the following update regarding the departure of bassist Zach Palmer:

"For the past 9 months or so, Zach has been kind enough to lend his talents to Shaded Enmity for both our new album recording, and for several live shows. We all knew Zach had commitments prior to joining our band, and he did great session work for us, but at this point in time, we have all decided mutually to go our separate ways as we are seeking someone who can be a permanent member to our lineup. We wish Zach the best with Skelator and his future endeavors.
That being said, if you believe you fit the following requirements, drop me an email at joe_nurre@hotmail.com"

5. Absolutely NO DRUGS or ALCOHOLICS PERIOD. I have played with way too many to know that its not good times. Pot is A OK. If you have ever been kicked out of a bar or started a fight because of your drinking, do not apply.

6. Read 5 again.

7. We are not looking for anything flashy, just someone who can keep a beat and hold down the fort.

8. We play in E standard, and most of our songs require the use of a 5 string as you will be supplying a lot of the low notes."
