Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee just released a music video for her track "Speak To Me", which was written for the upcoming film, "Voice From The Stone". The track was written by Amy Lee and Michael Wandmacher, who also composed the film score.
A haunting thriller set at an isolated castle in 1950s Tuscany, "Voice From the Stone" tells the story of Verena, a determined young nurse hired to help the mute young heir within. But the more she observes the boy, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa’s stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.
In theaters on April 28th in: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle and Washington DC. Video On Demand or Digital HD everywhere in U.S. starting on April 28th.
Evanescence is set to reemerge after a three-year hiatus with select, intimate shows scheduled this fall in Nashville, Dallas, and Los Angeles. The influential, Grammy-winning band last performed live in November of 2012.
These dates were lined up after an announcement went online that Evanescencee would be performing at Ozzfest Japan in November. The band comments:
"You know, we're already playing Japan, and it seems like a waste to do all that practicing for just one show.... So to finally answer the question many of you have been asking since the Ozzfest announcement, YES. We're adding 3 US dates in November!"

"Putting the festival together in what is proving to be a very challenging year was more difficult than we anticipated and we have spent the last few months fighting hard to keep Sonisphere in the calendar. Earache Recording artist Rival Sons kick began its North American tour with Evanescence yesterday at the Fox Theater in Oakland California.
The California blue-rock group will spend three weeks on the road, and then return to Europe for a headlining tour.
"We're stoked to be touring across America and into Canada this October with Evanescence," remarks Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday. Holiday continues, "Very happy to be invited by them. Between Evanescence, Pretty Reckless and us, the bill is pretty well diversified and will definitely give us the chance to play to a new demographic of rock fans, which we're always thriving for. We've also been so busy in Europe for most of this year, this tour will give us the opportunity to bring our rock 'n' roll back to fans we've been missing here in the States."

Universal Republic Records' We Are The Fallen will unleash their first single, "Bury Me Alive," exclusively via the digital domain on February 2nd. The fivesome is comprised of the original members of multiplatinum band Evanescence, guitarists Ben Moody and John LeCompt along with drummer Rocky Gray, joined by American Idol finalist Carly Smithson on vocals. Acclaimed bassist Marty O’Brien (Disturbed and Static-X, among others) rounds out We Are The Fallen.
The group is already preparing to give fans a live taste of the reportoire fueling their upcoming Universal Republic debut album, due out later in the year - hitting the road in support of Finnish rock stalwarts H.I.M. The extensive, 28 city tour launches in Philadelphia, PA, on March 27th, hurtling through multiple major cities such as Boston, MA, on March 28th, Cleveland, OH, on April 1st, Chicago IL, on April 9th, Los Angeles, CA, on April 23rd, and winding down in New York City on May 7th.
Guitarist Ben Moody has been publicly crediting the group's unique chemistry as the driving force behind We Are The Fallen, describing Carly Smithson's role as a "true partner," and a key component to We Are The Fallen's overall sound. Moody left the platinum-plus breakthrough rock act Evanesence in 2003, and has since co-written major hits for Chris Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson among others. Evanescence’s groundbreaking 2003 album, "Fallen," spent 43 weeks on the Billboard Top Ten Albums Chart, selling 15 million copies worldwide, and 7 million + albums in the U.S. alone.
For Smithson, We Are The Fallen completes her dream - after exiting American Idol - of becoming a creative force in a "vital" band environment. Carly Smithson was a sixth place finisher during Season 7 of the television series American Idol.
Billboard.com reports: Ben Moody predicts that his just-unveiled new band, We Are The Fallen, will enjoy a peaceful co-existence rather than mortal combat with his old group, Evanescence.
"We wish them the best," Moody, who co-founded Evanescence with singer Amy Lee in 1995 and left the band 2003 after co-writing its multi-platinum debut, "Fallen," tells Billboard.com. He formed We Are The Fallen earlier this year with original Evanescence members John LeCompt on guitar and Rocky Gray on drums, adding bassist Marty O'Brien and "American Idol" Season 7 finalist Carly Smithson on vocals.
We Are The Fallen has released its first song, "Bury Me Alive," on its official web site, WeAreTheFallen.com. Rather than bring out an album, Moody says the group plans to release new material sporadically via the Internet; another track is due out in September before the quintet hits the road and then the band will release two songs every eight weeks. Moody says We Are The Fallen is considering a terrestrial CD for 2010 that may contain extended versions of the songs as well as orchestral interludes and perhaps even live recordings and footage from the tour.
Besides its new material, We Are The Fallen does plan to play songs from "Fallen" on tour; the group even played that album's "Going Under" at a press conference on Monday in Los Angeles.

EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee has shot down rumors that she will be collaborating with METALLICA on a song for the legendary heavy metal band's forthcoming ninth studio album, tentatively due this fall.
A couple of unsubstantiated reports involving Lee and METALLICA have been making the rounds on the Internet, including that she will appear on a new version of the band's classic track "Fade to Black" and that she will be featured on a brand new METALLICA song called "Last Life". However, according to Amy, neither one of them holds any water.
"I am NOT going to be collaborating with METALICA," Lee wrote in an online posting. "I have absolutely no idea where this rumor came from, but it is not true."

The track is set to appear on DARK NEW DAY's long-awaited second album, due later in the year.
In other news, DARK NEW DAY drummer Will Hunt has shot down reports that the group has called it quits following an apparent disagreement with the band's record label, Warner Bros., over the new album's release. "We are not broken up!" he writes on the band's MySpace blog. "DARK NEW DAY will continue as long as we want it too, and as long as people like you share the passion of this music we make! Thank you all again so much for the love! Good things coming very soon, stay tuned." More...

"I don't know if you realize how hard it is to successfully tour these days, but many people are being forced to cancel their tours. We, because of you, are one of the very lucky and fortunate few who have never been in that position. You have come to see us play, most of you multiple times, and some of you have traveled extremely long distances to see the show. The fact that we are a rock band, over a year after our album's release, finishing out on an arena tour is nothing short of a miracle."
"There have been thrilling and beautiful times in the past year, and also some painful, hard times. In the end I know it was all for good, and I am completely grateful that everything happened the way it did. More...
