Them Crooked Vultures Fan Stabs Himself To Death
Mirror.co.uk. and Fox News are reporting that a Them Crooked Vultures fan stabbed himself to death after developing tinnitus from attending a concert. The report reads:
Robert McIndoe, 52, was unable to sleep for three months after seeing Them Crooked Vultures at the Brixton Academy, London.
His psychiatrist, Dr Helen Stinson, said: “He accepted death as a side-effect of stopping the noise.”
Them Crooked Vultures is a supergroup featuring music icons Joshua Homme, Dave Grohl, and John Paul Jones.

Iron Maiden Wins Grammy Award
British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have picked up the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance this year with their song, "El Dorado," which comes from their latest studio album, "The Final Frontier." The band won the award despite competition from Slayer, Korn, Megadeth and Lamb Of God. Also bringing home an award was supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, who won the prize for Best Hard Rock Performance with their song, "New Fang," Canadian rock legend Neil Young won claimed the Best Rock Song title with, "Angry World" and Jeff Beck, who won the award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with "Hammerhead."

It’s the second nomination in a row for Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Megadeth and Slayer. Maiden has been nominated twice before but never won. Ozzy has won Best Metal performance twice. Soundgarden won both awards in 1995. Slayer and Korn have two awards each and Stone Temple Pilots have one.
The award ceremony takes place on February 13 in Los Angeles, with the rock and metal awards traditionally held in a lower-key venue than the main televised event.
Last year’s Best Hard Rock Grammy went to AC/DC for "War Machine," which won over Alice in Chains’ "Check My Brain," Linkin Park’s "What I’ve Done," Metallica’s "Unforgiven III" and Nickelback’s "Burn it to the Ground." The Best Metal Performance was won by Judas Priest for "Dissident Aggressor," which was up against Lamb of God’s "Set to Fail," Megadeth’s "Headcrusher," Ministry’s "Senor Peligro" and Slayer’s "Hate Worldwide."

John Paul Jones To Appear At Manson's Guitar Show
Manson’s Guitar Shop has announced that legendary bass player John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin/ Them Crooked Vultures) will be appearing at this year's show taking place Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th October.
The 2010 Mansons Guitar Show is set to be both the biggest and best show yet with a record number of exhibitors confirmed including virtually every great guitar company on the planet. Manufacturers will be bringing their best model examples to exhibit at the prestigious weekend with several UK exclusive launches confirmed. A great mixture of the small independent guitar companies are rubbing shoulders with large corporates, and the presence of guitar legends such as John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin means Manson’s Guitar Show is undoubtedly the UK’s premier guitar lovers event. Manson’s Guitar Show also has some unique prize-winning opportunities this year. Twenty Two More Bands Confirmed For Download 2010
The organisers of Britains Download festival has announced a further twenty two additions to this years lineup. Glam metal veterans Ratt and Cinderella will be performing at the event, as will British heavy metal icons Saxon. Other bands confirmed for the festival include Hellyeah, H.I.M., Airbourne, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Y&T, Unearth, Steel Panther, Job For A Cowboy, A Day To Remember, Lawnmower Deth, Coheed & Cambria, 36 Crazyfists, Dommin, Whitechapel, Taking Dawn, August Burns Red, The Blackout, Rise To Remain and We Are The Fallen.
The festival takes place at Donington Park and will be held from friday the 11th of June to sunday the 13th. Other bands confirmed for the festival include Motorhead, Megadeth, Deftones and Them Crooked Vultures, as well as headlining acts AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith.

The organisers of Britain' Download Festival have revealed that in addition the recent announcement that Aerosmith and Rage Against The Machine will be headlining the event over the weekend, five more bands have also been confirmed. American hard rock legends Aerosmith and rap rock veterans Rage Against The Machine have been confirmed as the headline acts at this year's edition of Britain's Download Festival, in addition to previously announced headliners AC/DC. Rage Against The Machine will be headlining the saturday with Aerosmith taking the top spot the next day. Other bands confirmed for the event include Motorhead, Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures, Megadeth and Stone Temple Pilots. It will take place at Donington Park from June 11th - 13th.

Them Crooked Vultures has been confirmed for an appearance at this year's Rock Am Ring/Rock Am Park festivals June 4th-6th 2010. Tickets on sale now at tickets-per-post.de.

Them Crooked Vultures To Play Saturday Night Live
Them Crooked Vultures, the supergroup comprised of music icons Joshua Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones, is set to rock the soundstage of Saturday Night Live on February 6th with the show being hosted by Ashton Kutcher. Following their stint on late night television, Them Crooked Vultures will bring the rock to a handful of cities along the East coast before heading to the desert to play Coachella on April 16.
Them Crooked Vultures released their self-titled debut album in November 2009 to a slew of critical acclaim and in just a few short months saw additional accolades including "best of 2009" lists from Spin, MySpace and Time Out. The album, which has reached Gold and Platinum status in a number of territories including UK, Canada and Australia, is available in stores and online now.

The organisers of the United Kingdom's Download festival has announced the first batch of names for this year's edition of the event. The biggest news is that AC/DC will be headlining the first day of the event, marking their first appearance at Donington since 1991. Many other big names have also been added to the bill, including Them Crooked Vultures, Motorhead, Megadeth, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Wolfmother and Volbeat. The brand new track will appear on the band's self-titled album that is slated for release on November 17 via DGC/Interscope Records but is streaming now on the band's official MySpace Music profile.
