New Metal Songs Available On Rock Band This Week
This week's additions to the Rock Band Network feature songs from the Cancer Bats, while new tracks from Demon Hunter and In This Moment will be coming the PS3 edition on June 8th. The complete list of new tracks, including all the non-metal songs, is as follows:

Clutch Announces Free Show
Clutch has announced that in celebration of the 9:30 Club's 30th birthday on Monday the 31st, the Washington, DC club has invited Clutch to play a short set for a free event. The event will be hosted by Henry Rollins and there will be several other bands playing as well. Interestingly, the event is not listed on the 9:30 Club's web site, so you may want to call ahead for details.
More Bands Confirmed For High Voltage Festival
The organisers of Britain's High Voltage festival has announced three more bands for this year's edition of the event. British heavy metal legends Saxon will be performing on the Metal Hammer stage, along with the other two new confirmations, British doom metal veterans Cathedral and Swedish power metal outfit Hammerfall. The festival is scheduled for July 24th - 25th at Victoria Park in London.

Bonnaroo 2010 Stays Irrelevant to Metalheads
Superfly and A.C. Entertainment recently announced that the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has added several artists to the 2010 event, but I thought I'd highlight the few heavier bands on the line-up:

You really have to be a general music fan to appreciate a festival like Bonnaroo, so diehard metalheads need not bother. The full Bonnaroo 2010 lineup can be found here. The music festival takes place on Thursday, June 10 through June 13.
Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Jack Johnson and other top artists are donating their music to encourage Americans to speak out on climate change. Organized by the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, HeadCount and the NRDC Action Fund, this collaboration marks the first time free music has been used to prompt Americans to contact their elected officials.
Best of Bonnaroo, a compilation of 17 different live performances from the festival (unfortunately none of the heavier ones), is available for free at www.Musicforaction.org.

Venom And UFO Added To High Voltage Festival
The organisers of Britain's High Voltage festival has announced some more bands for the festival's debut edition. Among the new confirmations are extreme metal daddys Venom, rock legends UFO, The Quireboys, Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa and The Union, which features former members of Thunder. The event will take place in Victoria Park in London on July 24th and the 25th.

Clutch, The Bakerton Group to Play Bonnaroo 2010
Clutch and instrumental side-project the Bakerton Group will both be performing at this year's edition of the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. This years festival takes place July 11-13th.
As previously reported, Clutch was also recently confirmed for Britain's High Voltage Festival in London, England, taking place on July 24th and 25th.

A brand new festival will be launched in London, England next year on July 24th and 25th. The event is scheduled to be held at Victoria Park. The festival mainly focuses on classic rock music and younger bands who play a similar style.

Clutch To Film New Year's Eve Concert For DVD
During the shows between Christmas and New Year's Eve, Clutch will be performing the entire "Clutch" self titled album, as well as some other songs, commemorating the 15th anniversary of teh release.
The band also announce that their New Year's Eve show will be filmed for a DVD and they will be giving away loads of stuff at that show. The first 500 people through door will receive a free Clutch t-shirt commemorating the gig and the next 1,000 through the door will get a free copy of the Full Fathom Five Live CD.

Tombs Gearing Up For U.S. Tour Dates
Brooklyn's Tombs has issued the following update about preparing for an upcoming tour:
"We're gearing up for hitting the road with Kylesa and Bison BC for some dates in the Southeast and Texas. The second date is this rad fest in Asheville called Planet Caravan. Clutch Enters Billboard Top 40
American rock outfit Clutch has entered the Billboard Top 200 album charts at number 38 with their latest studio record, "Stange Cousins From The West." The record has sold just under 14,000 copies in its first week of release and makes it the highest charting album in the bands career.
Planet Caravan Festival Details Revealed
The Planet Caravan festival has been announced for September 18 and 19, 2009 at The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina. The two-day festival features Clutch, Pentagram, Orange Goblin, Kylesa, Burst, YOB, Wino, Astra, Revolution Mother, Taddy Porter, Orchid, and Pick up the Snake.
Tickets went on sale this weekend and are $79.50, plus applicable service fees. They are on sale via The Orange Peel box office, by phone at 866-468-7630 and online at www.planetcaravanfestival.com.
“Planet Caravan is an homage to the pioneers of heavy music," says event creator Charlie Jennings. "The event spotlights bands that carry on the traditional sounds of heavy rock and blues but also push it into new and
exciting territories.”
Clutch Posts New Rarity Song Online For Download
Clutch has made available an exclusive free download of "Metroliner Special" on their website. The song is a brand new, non-album track that was recorded during the "Strange Cousins From The West" recording sessions. The song will be available until October 31st.
Stream Clutch's New Album On AOL Music
Clutch's new album, "Strange Cousins From The West," will be released next week on July 14th. You can currently preview the album in it's entirety on AOL Music until release.
You can still pre-order "Strange Cousins From The West" from Newbury Comics and get an autographed copy of the album.

New England metallers SHADOWS FALL will be holding an exclusive performance at J&R Music World in New York City, NY on June 19. The band will also be available post-set for a Meet-And-Greet. This is a free event, and it starts at 6PM. The store's address is as follows:

SHADOWS FALL has also added a new show to their summer itinerary. The band will be direct support to Maryland rockers Clutch on July 3 at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ. SHADOWS FALL is touring to support their upcoming 6th studio album, which is slated for a September 2009 release. The album will be released on the band’s newly created record label, in conjunction with Warner Music Group’s ILG and Ferret Music.
SHADOWS FALL just played with KORN and is currently looking ahead to their first-ever appearance on the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee, followed by two shows in Anchorage, Alaska.
