British rockers Voodoo Six are excited to announce they will release new album "Songs To Invade Countries To" worldwide on April 29th via Universal Music, before embarking on the biggest tour of their career so far as main support to metal legends Iron Maiden on European dates. Prior to their dates with Iron Maiden, Voodoo Six will also be heading out on a run of headline U.K. club shows throughout March and April. Full details are available after the jump.
Iron Maiden founder and bassist Steve Harris comments: "I've been keeping an eye on Voodoo Six for a while now and they've produced a cracking new album with real promise. It's great to support true British up and coming talent such as theirs and it'll be a pleasure to have them out with us on tour."
Voodoo Six vocalist Luke Purdie adds: “This is a huge deal for us and an amazing opportunity to support arguably the most iconic band in metal history. We came up with the album title ‘Songs To Invade Countries To’ ages ago since we’ve been wanting to get our music across to European shores for a long time - but it’s been made a reality now that we’ve been chosen to support Iron Maiden on these dates. It’s going to be a very exciting year!”
"Songs To Invade Countries To" will consist of 11 tracks mixed by Tony Newton & Pedro Ferreira (The Darkness, Enter Shikari, Therapy?) and mastered by Ade Emsley (Iron Maiden, Steve Harris). British rockers Voodoo Six have checked in with the following announcement about recording a new album:
"Recording started this week on the 3rd album. We have been writing the new songs over the past few months and are really excited to get them down.
"We are recording live in the studio to capture the feel of each song and it's working great. A lot of modern recording uses a click track to control the tempo of the songs but we wanted to capture that special something that can only happen when you hear 'rolling' and the band launches into a performance.
"We are recording in Barnyard studio Essex UK. A fantastic mix of vintage and modern equipment, where 3 Iron Maiden albums were recorded in the 1990's."

Voodoo Six has checked in with the following statement about postponing two live shows due to illness:
"Unfortunately we have had to postpone 2 shows on the current tour - Glasgow 26th and Leeds 27th November. This is due to Luke catching a throat and chest infection.
"He has been ordered to rest for a couple of days so the tour will resume on 29th November at The Borderline, London. The shows will be rescheduled for next year."

British modern hard rockers Voodoo Six will hit the ground running this winter with a brand new limited edition digital EP and an extensive U.K. tour. "Falling Knives" will be released in digital format on November 28th.
The EP will feature three brand new tracks titled "Falling Knives," "Sharp Sand," and "Stop," as well as three re-worked and re-recorded versions of tracks from the band's debut album "First Hit For Free."
Founding member and bassist Tony Newton comments: "It's been great being back in the studio working on new material for the EP and the new album for next year. We wanted to revisit some of our old songs so that fans can expect to hear them in the live set again and experience Luke's twist on things. We're really excited about getting back on the road and building up for what is looking to be an energetic 2012 for V6!"
The band will precede the release by kicking off a 14-date U.K. tour in Leicester on November 17th. The tour will finish with a set at this year's sold-out Hard Rock Hell V Festival in Prestatyn.
Voodoo Six has checked in with the following update about booking a U.K. tour and recording a new EP:
"We are currently booking a UK tour for November 2011. To tie in with this we will be releasing an EP of new material and we plan to re record a few songs from First Hit For Free too.
"Recording commences 5th September, the new songs are sounding great and we can't wait to get started. More news to follow regarding the tour dates........."

Two more bands have been announced for this year's edition of Wales' Hard Rock Hell festival, both of which made their names in the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Movement. Cirencester based act Dealer will be performing at the event, as will fellow new confirmations Bronz. The festival boasts a host of other NWOBHM acts as well as others and will take place at Pontins in Prestatyn, North Wales from December 1st-4th.

"So the album is fully mixed, just a visit to the mastering suite in a couple of weeks and it's ready for you lot to digest. Mike Fraser has done a great job on the mixing, he really understands the sound of the band.
