Majesty Splits With Bassist

Majesty has issued the following announcement about parting ways with bassist Carsten Kettering:

"Unfortually Carsten Kettering had to split with Majesty after only one year since he joined. Carsten was the only member of Majesty who has a regular job besides the band. Due to the immense live and studio activities he now had to accept that the band and his job are not compatible with each other anymore.

"The band is very thankful to Andi Siegl, who already covered for Carsten on the December shows. But now Majesty is looking for a new bass player who is ready to give all his power and dedication to the band. If you´re interested please write an email to info@metalentertainment.de."

Vocalist Tarek also issued the following statement: "We, as a band, are very sad because of Carsten's departure. Not only because he is a great bass player but also because he's a good friend. However, we of course respect his decision. We played more than 50 shows last year and we want to increase that number in 2014 which is only possible when you can give 100% of your time and strength for the band. Carsten told me that this is not possible with his job besides the band anymore and we respect that. We wish him all the best. Of course now we need a new bass player as soon as possible!” More...

Majesty Reveals "Banners High" Details

Lovers of pure and unadulterated metal had all reason to rejoice in spring of 2011 when disbanded German true steel legends Majesty finally returned. The comeback culminated in an unforgettable show that was taped and released on DVD (“Shake the Ground”) in October 2012.

The comeback album “Thunder Rider” was released by NoiseArt Records in January, but now another album from the band is on the way "Banners High" will see release this coming December 20th, 2013.

“Banners High” is also the first-ever concept album in the band's history and tells a fantasy story penned by Majesty singer Tarek "MS" Maghary himself. Tarek comments:

"We're very proud to release our first concept album. The story deals with oppressed people who march into battle to finally be free. We definitely didn't want to do one of those concept albums with silly, boring audiobook parts and thousands of intros. The story is being conveyed by ten heavy metal anthems which could easily stand alone too. Which is why you can simply listen to the album without delving into the concept too much. If you want to though, you'll experience an incredibly epic world where honor, friendship, self-sacrifice and love of freedom still mean something."

The track listing is as follows:

1. Judgment Of The Gods
2. We Want His Head
3. Banners High
4. Time For Revolution
5. United By Freedom
6. Pray For Thunder
7. Bloodshed And Steel
8. All We Want, All We Need

Majesty To Release 2-CD Set

Massacre Records has issued the following announcement about the return of Majesty and the release of the "Own the Crown" 2-CD set:

"Majesty is back! 'Own The Crown' is the long awaited comeback album of Majesty containing two CDs packed with immortal heavy metal hymns. On the first disc you find all the greatest Majesty hits of the band's career so far.

"Besides of the two new songs 'Own The Crown' and 'Metal On The Road' the second CD will feature lots of rare songs and re-recorded material which most of the fans have never heard before. Among other things you find a re-recorded version of the ballad 'Snow Is On The Mountains' which was originally released in 1999 on the 'Metal Monarchs' demo.

"As a unique special the first demo tape, which is out of stock for years, will also be on the CD.
In total 28 breathtaking tracks are on the 2CD box set which will be in stores for a single CD price. The elaborately designed booklet featuring liner notes from Tarek for every single song and never seen photo material is also very worth mentioning. Also don't forget to attend the comeback concert on September 3rd at the Turnhalle in 97941 Tauberbischofsheim - Dittigheim, Germany."

Vocalist Tarek also released the following statement: "With this statement I want to tell all fans, friends and partners that we decided that it is time for Majesty to officially come back to the glorious Heavy Metal world. It might sound strange to some of you that after only three years when we said that the band is not existent anymore we return but I really want to try to explain to you all the thoughts, feelings and economic reasons which led to that decision.

"I know that many of you were shocked when we put Majesty to sleep in 2008 and I can never properly explain you the exact reasons why we did that step and honestly, I donŽt even know them myself. The only thing I know is that it was a decision which hurt the feelings of many dedicated and loyal fans standing together with us side by side through the years.
I know that a bright future lies before us now and we will try to play as many shows as possible all over the planet and finally do again what we were born for: Heavy Metal Our strength and our religion."

"Own The Crown" is going to be released worldwide on September 2nd, 2011.
