Ruins Issues New Album Update and Announces Split

German metal band Ruins has issued the following updates:

"1. The 'Chambers Of Perversion' LP will undergo some updates. The cover is done yet and looks very bestial and fitting. Thanks to Mark Riddick again for putting such an effort into this band! Furthermore two more songs will be done and send to the label to be included onto that LP. Expect some satanic aggression around the spring of 2010!"

"2. 'Chambers Of Perversion' will be released on tape in Germany through Dying Victims Productions. Three different colours of the tape will be done incl. the first 33 copies being die-hard editions in fucking pink! These will have a little suprise on it."

"3. RU-I-NS has agreed to do another split-EP on 'Fistbang Records' from Greece again. Recordings will be done in February 2010 for this."

"4. The long lost recording to the 'Impalement Rites' demo is re-activated and RU-I-NS is re-writing the lyrics for this piece again. Vocal tracks should be recorded in the middle of February 2010."

Beyond Terror Beyond Grace Readies New Album

NSW-based grind/death metal band Beyond Terror Beyond Grace will release their latest album, “Our Ashes Built Mountains,” on February 4, 2010. The band has just uploaded two tracks off the album. Check out “Husk” and “Flightless” at the band's MySpace page.

The album features a number of guests including Jasion Peppiatt (Psycroptic), Jarrod Krafcyk (ex The Amenta), Alex Pope (Ruins), Blake Wilson (Gallows for Grace), Anno Vo (Crux) as well as soundscapes by Tim Pope from The Amenta. The album art was by Colin Marks who has worked for Aborted, Strapping Young Lad, Whitechapel etc.

The band commented: “We are beyond happy with the results, and we feel that to say that this CD is an enormous step up musically, in production, lyrically and conceptually from the last album is a bit of an understatement. We have really made an effort to craft a complete album rather than just throwing a bunch of songs together – there are lyrical concepts, samples, ideas and motifs that thematically link throughout the whole CD. We are very much looking forward to getting it out there.”

International tour dates and label announcements are still to come.

Ruins Sign to Negative Existence Records

Negative Existence Records has announced the signing of the German underground black speed metal band RUINS. The group's first release through the label will be a 24-song CD featuring two obscure recordings — "Baptised In The Name Of Satan" and "Bloodstorms of Hell" — along with three brand new tracks.

RUINS is a one-man band that was created in February 2006. The upcoming CD is described as "well-produced raw recordings of old-school thrash metal. Aggressive drumming, extremely memorable and straight forward guitar riffs, and hellish raw throaty vocals complete the overall 'black speed metal' atmosphere. The final result is a nonstop headbang-a-thon."

The RUINS CD will be available this spring and will feature the demonic art of Mark Riddick, lyrics, photos as well as additional information.

Check out audio samples at their Myspace page.
