Mortemia Shares Collaboration With Metalite Singer
Morten Veland (Sirenia, Mortemia and founder of Tristania) has released the 8th Mortemia song from "The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions." The track features Erica Ohlsson (Metalite) on guest vocals, and is due for release today, on the 4th of March 2022 via all digital platforms. The track is entitled "Lost Horizon" and can be heard below.
Morten Veland:
"I am proud and honoured to introduce Erica Ohlsson from Metalite as my special guest for ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. The eight song is entitled ‘Lost Horizon’, and is now available on all digital platforms.
"When I first started working on this project I was spending quite a lot of time looking for bands in the genre that was new to me. I was curious what was going on in the scene, and I finally had the time to update myself. One of the bands that I discovered early on was Metalite, I really liked their modern and catchy style of metal, and I was instantly blown away by Erica's amazing voice. I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Erica on board this project, and I am really looking forward to sharing this song with you all. This song is more of an uptempo song, I find it very powerful, atmospheric and catchy."
Erica Ohlsson adds:
"I got the question to record the clean vocals for Morten Velands (Sirenia) studio project Mortemia. The song sounded very modern, melodic with a lot of energy, I liked it a lot so of course I wanted to join. With help from my Metalite colleague Edwin we recorded it and we are really happy about the result! It sounds awesome! Hope you like it as much as I do." More...
Bloodbound Postpones 2022 Tour Dates
Things must to get back to normal at some point, or so it was said last year: Swedish power metal force Bloodbound announced their upcoming tour for March 2022. The trek would see the band play 13 shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France and Belgium. The tour is now being rescheduled to March 2023.
The band released their ninth studio album "Creatures Of The Dark Realm" in May 2021 via AFM Records. To still celebrate their latest record, the Swedes are moving their Tour Of The Dark Realm to next year. The package remains unchanged as support comes from their label colleagues Arion, plus newcomers Metalite and Veonity
"We were looking forward to this tour for months. We were full of hope for things to change for better until the last minute," says the band. "We have been looking at the situation carefully during the last few weeks of course, though. We have been in contact with the promoters all the time. And we reached a point a week ago or so where we had to accept that the venues in some countries we're going to play are still looking at some restrictions. We've had to make the super hard decision to postpone the tour. To say this is a downer would be the understatement of the year. The good news is, we're happy to share that we have managed to keep the package what it is, and we are even more looking forward to hitting the road with our friends Arion, Metalite and Veonity. Stay safe and we will see you in March 2023!"

Metalite Reveals New Album Details
The update for modern Power and Melodic Metal will be coming sooner as expected – with a new album called "A Virtual World," the Swedish Power Metal quintet Metalite returns to the metal dancefloor. Not even a year & a half after they returned with their new singer Erica Ohlsson, who brought in a massive amount of energy and musicianship to increase the impact for the new heroes of Modern Metal, trendsetting, epic and of the highest quality.
This match made in heaven has been celebrated with an album that - even for Scandianvian standards - could be called a rarity. Their opus "Biomechanicals" (2019) was influenced by the concept of bands like Within Temptation, Amaranthe and Delain but at the same time the band from Stockholm reinvents classic Melodic Metal – unleashing a storm of power and zeitgeist that you cannot escape.
Like they started on "Biomechanicals," the Swedes continue to expertly make use of electronic elements, influenced by the Trance Era of early 21st century: spheric layers mix with vibrating sequences and pulsating beats fitting like a second skin for the massive, melodic and outrageously catchy wall of sound.
