PROTOSEQUENCE guitarists Kyle Hunter and Dylan Parker are offering a shred-a-thon with a new playthrough video for the band's track "Parasitic" streaming below.
Drawing influence from acts like All Shall Perish, August Burns Red, and The Black Dahlia Murder, PROTOSEQUENCE root their music in technicality while layering emotional, yet gruff vocals weaved into every track. The band transitions seamlessly through djent riffs, grinding drums and groove elements, making their sound versatile and ever-changing. Their latest EP "Biophagous" was unleashed during August of 2017 to follow their 2016 debut "Schizophrene".

Protosequence Announces Tour Dates
Offering a rush of groovy guitar parts met with story-filled lyrics and serene, landscape-sized instrumentals that roll like hills into a valley, Edmonton's Protosequence will be embarking on "The Greasy BC."
The tour this June is in support of latest release "Schizophrene," alongside premiering new material that can only be heard live at this point. The tour is presented by Temple Entertainment and Odessa Music Management, plus sponsored by Absolute Underground and will kick off in Abbotsford, BC on June 10th.
The trek wraps up with a hometown show in Edmonton, AB on June 17th. Supporting Protosequence on the tour will be Calgary melodic progressive death metallers Plaguebringer (dates listed below).
Guitarist and vocalist Parker commented: “This tour marks our return to beautiful British Columbia, and this time we come with friends! Our buddies in Plaguebringer are gonna be raging with us, so if we hit your town, come hang! Let's get greasy, liquor and cheeseburger style.” More...

Traversing between djent and technical progressive metal, Edmonton’s Protosequence is ready to give fans a taste of live performances through Djent Worldwide TV.
This new video features the single "Guardian" taken from 2016 EP "Schizophrene," with live footage shot by Nick Laird Photography at The Mercury Room. Guitarist and vocalist Parker comments:
“We have been laying low the past little while, working on getting our new EP done for 2017. We figured it was time to release that little video we shot a while ago.
