Volbeat Posts New Music Video Online
Today, multi-platinum Danish band, Volbeat, share their new music video for "Wait A Minute My Girl." The music video was directed by Sean Donnelly, founder of Awesome+modest, with collages by Mengqing Yuan, and animation by Steve Yeung. Awesome+modest is an animation studio based in Los Angeles, California that specializes in mixed media techniques. They most recently created all of the animation in the HBO documentary miniseries The Lady and the Dale, Marvel's Behind the Mask and Showtime's The One and Only Dick Gregory.
The band said of the video: "After seeing the work they did on The Lady And The Dale we knew that Sean and the team at Awesome+modest could do something trippy and creative for 'Wait A Minute My Girl'. Volbeat Cancels North American Tour Dates
Danish heavy metal/rock and rollers Volbeat has announced that due to COVID-19 pandemic, the band has been forced to cancel their scheduled tour of North America with Clutch and The Picturebooks. A statement from the band reads as follows:
"We hate to be another band starting a post with ‘due to the current circumstances,’ so instead we will say how much we were looking forward to the US headline leg of the Rewind, Replay, Rebound tour. Coming to see you in your hometowns with a full-length Volbeat set and getting to play alongside Clutch and The Picturebooks, two amazing bands we are lucky enough to call friends, was going to be a major highlight for the band. We, alongside our team, the local promoters and venues have all been working hard to try to reschedule these shows but as the timing for the safe return of live events is still unclear, we feel it is best to cancel the tour.
"Again, we can’t say enough how much we were looking forward to this run, and we will make plans to be back in North America as soon as it is safe for stages to open back up. Please keep an eye on your inboxes as you will soon be receiving information about ticket refunds from your point of purchase.’

Volbeat Premiere New Song & Music Video
Volbeat premiere a new official music video for their new song “Cheapside Sloggers“. The band shot the clip with Shan Dan Horan (In Flames, DevilDriver) while Exodus/Slayer guitarist Gary Holt makes a guest appearance on the track. “Cheapside Sloggers” is taken from the Volbeat's impending new outing “Rewind, Replay, Rebound“, out in stores August 02nd.
Volbeat Reveals New Album Details
After premiering a short new song entitled, "Parasite" (which can be heard below,) Danish hard rockers Volbeat has revealed that their forthcoming new studio album, entitled "Rewind, Replay, Rebound," will be released on August 2nd of this year. In addition to this, the band has also revealed the artwork for the record, as well as a music video for another new song, "Leviathan," both of which can also be seen below.
Volbeat - Michael Poulsen (guitars/vocals), Rob Caggiano (guitars), Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass), and Jon Larsen (drums) - have built upon their distinct, psychobilly, punk-tinged rock ‘n’ roll sound they are known for, while reaching for new creative summits. "The whole point for us going into the studio, is because you still have something to prove - not just for the fans, but mostly for yourself," says Poulsen. "We would not be able to do this record if it wasn’t for the work we have done in the past. No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound."
Rewind, Replay, Rebound was produced by long-time collaborator Jacob Hansen and co-produced by Rob Caggiano and Michael Poulsen. This marks the first studio album with Kaspar Boye Larsen on bass. To achieve the album’s sound, the band also drew upon a myriad of guests. In addition to again working with backing vocalist Mia Maja on several tracks, they also reunited with the Harlem Gospel Choir. “Cheapside Sloggers” features a ripping guitar solo by Exodus and Slayer guitarist, Gary Holt. Clutch vocalist Neil Fallon is featured on “Die To Live,” the result of touring together and a love for the singer’s gruff and powerful style. Fallon comments, "A few months back, totally out of the blue, I got an email from Michael asking if I’d be interested in singing on a new Volbeat track. I was really surprised and even more so flattered. I gave it a listen and was sold. “Die To Live” is right up my alley because it’s a straight no chaser rock and roller." Raynier Jacob Jacildo (piano) and Doug Corocran (saxophone) of JD McPherson’s band also lend their talents to the song. Ultimately, Volbeat have not lost their passion to create and progress. It’s that which keeps them hungry - and musically honest on the new album.
Today, the band also announces the first leg of the Rewind, Replay, Rebound world tour, with support from Baroness and Danko Jones. This tour will see the band performing in cities including London, Madrid, Berlin, Hamburg, and Stockholm (full dates below) and tickets for all dates will go on sale on Friday, May 24 at 9 AM, BST. Anyone who pre-orders the album from the official Volbeat store will receive a pre-sale code allowing them first access to the 2019 European headline tour (Euro/UK store only) starting at 10 AM, local time on Tuesday, May 21. Slipknot Announces "Knotfest Roadshow" Tour
Slipknot have announced their live return, unveiling details of their massive Knotfest Roadshow headline tour set to traverse across North America this summer. Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth will join as special guests on all dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 29-city outing will kick off July 26th in Mountain View, CA at Shoreline Amphitheater and continue through September 8th where it will conclude with a performance at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX (see itinerary below). Slipknot have also revealed that they will release their long awaited new studio album on August 9th. It was captured at an August 26th, 2017 headlining live performance at the Telia Parken in their hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark.
