Brazilian Tribute To Moonspell Released

A new Brazilian tribute to Moonspell has been released and is now available for free download. Check out "Em Nome Do Medo - A Brazilian Tribute To Moonspell" at this location.

Organized by Heavy And Loud Press and The Burn Productions, the project reunites 18 Brazilian bands paying a tribute to the dark metal masters, Moonspell. Heavy And Loud had this to say:

“'Em nome do medo' features 18 bands from 11 different Brazilian states, from almost all regions of the country: Northeast, Southeast, South and Midwest. Demonstrating Moosnpell’s importance and influence in the last generations of extreme metallers in Brazilian lands, 'Em nome do medo' brings groups of diverse dark and gloomy heavy metal subgenres, with representatives of black metal, death metal, dark metal, doom metal and gothic metal.

Patria To Record Cover Track For Moonspell Tribute

A Brazilian tribute to Moonspell is coming soon titled "Em Nome Do Medo." Black metal outfit Patria has released a video clip teasing it's contribution to the tribute album, which can be seen at Facebook here. The band also comments:

"We're recording our cover version for the song 'Wolfshade' that will be featured on the official Brazilian Tribute to Moonspell.

"Check out this short preview, still without vocals though. This track is being mixed by our talented friend Fabiano Penna (Ex Rebaelliun and The Ordher). PS.: Sorry about the bad camera sound! More coming soon!!"

Patria Posts Brazilian Tour Teaser

Black metal outfit Patria will be touring Brazil in August with Torqverem. A new promo video for the tour can be seen below, and the band comments:

"Check out the part #2 of our promo video series. Patria Posts New Lyric Video

Brazilian black metal outfit Patria will release "Individualism" via Indie Recordings on April 21st in Europe.

This is what Øystein of Borknagar has to say about the upcoming release: "The most interesting and convincing traditional Black Metal album I have heard in years! Highly recommendable!"

Patria Signs With Indie Recordings

Patria has checked in with the following announcement about inking a deal with Indie Recordings:

"Alright, demons. It's TIME finally!!! We're glad to announce that we signed to Indie Recordings/Norway, the major metal label in Scandinavia and one of the biggest in the world today.

"The new album is called 'Individualism' and will be out April 21st [Norway/Europe] - April 25th [Germany/Austria] in Digipak, Vinyl and Digital.

"You can check below the great cover art (created by artist Costin Chioreanu), track list and you also can listen the first single 'Blood Storm Prophecy' below. The album mastering was made by the wizard Øystein G. Brun from the almighty Borknagar."

Patria Streaming New Song

South American black metal horde Patria has now released new single "Ascendant of Darkness" in advance of the "Nihil Est Monastica" album release via Drakkar Productions on March 13th, 2013. Check out the song in the player below.

The band also comments: "'Nihil Est Monastica' is an album going through a bit fresh musical conception if compared to our previous releases. There's no walls at all concerning our creativity on this record. We just decided to do what we had to do, naturally, without any worries about labels or rules. Something that would pleasure our own ears as real Black Metal fans, you know.

"We're also mixing different influences and elements. It also has a little better production, but even still keeping that necro and lowfi characteristics of the early Black Metal sound. Patria Posts New Album Trailer

South American black metal horde Patria has launched a teaser for new album "Nihil Est Monastica," which can be viewed below.

The trailer was created by Swedish producer Håkan Sjodin, who previously worked for Marduk on the video for "Souls For Belial." The album is set to be released on March 13th, 2013 via cult French label Drakkar Productions in digipack, vinyl, and cassette formats.

Artwork for the album was undertaken by Costin Chioreanu, who has worked with bands such as Darkthrone, Ulver, Aura Noir, etc. The "Nihil Est Monastica" track listing is as follows:
