Abnormality Reveals New Album Details

On May 10th, Abnormality will release their third full-length, "Sociopathic Constructs," via Metal Blade Records. A video for the first single, "Curb Stomp" (directed by David Brodsky // www.davidsbrodsky.com), can be viewed below.

The album was tracked primarily at The Brick HitHouse in Hyannis, Massachusetts with producers Peter Rutcho (Revocation, Ravage) and Shane Frisby (Becoming The Archetype, Bury Your Dead) with vocals produced by Zdenek Sikyr at Studio Hostivar (Cult of Fire, Master's Hammer) in Prague. Having worked with Rutcho since 2010, it was a painless, professional process, the band also bringing in Chaney Crabb of Entheos to add a guest vocal to the devastating "Penance". "'Sociopathic Constructs' is the result of tons of hard work and shows the progress we have made as a band since 'Mechanisms' (2016)," asserts Sundaramurthy. "We feel the time is now for such an album, the brutality perfectly reflects the darkness, violence, and harsh reality of our world." More...

Abnormality Experiences "Cymatic Hallucinations"

Currently on tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, and Power Trip in the USA, Massachusetts-based extreme metal outfit Abnormality has just launched a video for "Cymatic Hallucinations."

This new video is taken from the "Mechanisms of Omniscience" album (streaming here) and was produced, directed, and edited by Jim Foster,

Foster comments: "As we embarked on our second video together, my goal was to portray Abnormality's intense energy on a large scale while bringing their concept of a 'trip' into the darkness of the mind into a reality. And as always, Metal Blade is incredibly supportive in letting bands and directors see their visions through."

Abnormality's Jay Blaisdell (drums) adds: "We're excited to release our new music video for 'Cymatic Hallucinations.' Again we teamed up with Red 13 Media who delivered our previous video 'Mechanisms of Omniscience.' Overall, the song is about applying the concept of cymatics (the effects of sound & vibrational frequency on matter), to tripping hard on shrooms. Basically it's describing the trip of all trips. A hallucinogenic experience so intense that the auditory hallucinations experienced actually cause a cymatic alteration to the person's physical reality and existence, or even everyone's physical reality and existence. It's a pretty fucked up scenario. I personally have had really intense trips with both visual and auditory hallucinations. The sounds hallucinated are always indistinguishable from the real vibrational sounds. The whole concept has always intrigued me." More...

The Black Dahlia Murder Announces New Tour

After completing an extensive trek this past spring, The Black Dahlia Murder is ready to head out on the road again - first, joining Max & Iggor Cavalera Return To Roots, Allegaeon, Combichrist, All Hail The Yeti, and Oni for some performances across North America, before kicking off a co-headlining USA run with Napalm Death.

Set to begin November 1st, this "Abysmal Predator" co-headliner features Abnormality, Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, and Power Trip as support on select performances. The Black Dahlia Murder will also headline a few shows before and after joining this tour package.

The Black Dahlia Murder comments: "It is our great pleasure to once again reunite with our long-time pals in Napalm Death; we really hit it off with them when we were just little tykes on our first-ever European tour so many years ago. To this day, Napalm remain a vital force in music and are some of my absolute heroes. It feels great to finally be able to announce this amazing line-up we've been brewing... Keeping a secret this good was killing me inside! All of the bands are absolutely killer and we couldn't be more proud to be considered a part of this elite. We'll see you this fall, bring your helmet!" More...
