Lament Cityscape / Theologian Streaming Split

"Soft Tissue," the collaborative full-length album from Lament Cityscape and Theologian, is due out tomorrow, October 21st. In advance of that release, today the entire record is now available for streaming.

Underscored by a seamless integration of the best qualities of both groups, bowel-wracking percussive attacks, brutally heavy riffs, and boundless drones are juxtaposed with guttural, apocalyptic, howls from the deepest abysses of psychological anguish on "Soft Tissue." Towering portent of calamities awaiting humanity as a whole, obsessively examining the fragility not just of our bodies, but of the subjective moralities which define our civilization as well.

Theologian and Lament Cityscape will perform material from "Soft Tissue" tonight at the opening night of Southwest Terror Fest V: Houses Of The Unholy in Tucson. More...

Theologian Releases "Dregs"

The latest works of auditory cruelty from New York City-area dark ambient/industrial act Theologian see release today. You can hear all of the self-released "Dregs" below.

Evolving from its earliest incarnations, "Dregs" took on an entirely new aspect in recent weeks, the final product yielding more than an hour and ten minutes of material. Countless nocturnal recording expeditions and marathon mixing sessions have resulted in some of Theologian's most demoralizing material in years, with wells of harsh industrial chaos merging with rapturous end-time melodicism.

Also out today is "Black Fire Theology" -- a collaborative EP initiated by Russell MacEwan of Glaswegian doom act Black Sun -- available digitally here.

In celebration of the new titles, Theologian tonight releases them to the public at a special pre-New Year's live event in NYC, dubbed The Future. See the band live on these dates:

12/30/2015 Trans-Pecos - Queens, NY @ The Future w/ Pyrrhon, T.O.M.B. Sire
3/05/2015 The Depot - Baltimore, MD @ Altered States w/ T.O.M.B., Snakefeast, Darsombra More...

Theologian Announces Lineup Changes, New Album

New York dark industrial entity Theologian has confirmed a shift in its recording and live lineup, with pre-production of a new full-length album, "Contrapasso," fully underway.

Founding Theologian orchestrator, Lee Bartow, a.k.a. Theologian Prime, has expanded the cult to induct new member Dave Brenner (ex-Heidnik) for the next phase of the project, including upcoming releases and live executions, while Bartow's Annihilvs Power Electronix label partner Daniel Suffering (Whorid, Slavernij) continues to fuel the mix with his sonic decay as well.

The recording process of next full length "Contrapasso" is currently underway and is slabbed for release in 2016 -- with a label to be confirmed -- while additional collaborations, splits or DIY releases are more than likely to writhe their way into existence stemming from the "Contrapasso" sessions." More details are coming, but for now, be sure to catch the band live on these dates:
