Venomous Maximus Streaming Full New Album
Texas occult metal band Venomous Maximus will release its new album "Beg Upon the Light" on October 30th via Occulture Records. The award winning group recorded at Origin Sound in Houston with a head space described as "somewhere between a Alejandro Jodorowsky film and a New Orleans voodoo den."

Texas occult metal band Venomous Maximus will release its new album "Beg Upon the Light" on October 30th via Occulture Records. The following press release was issued about the album:
"The award winning group recorded at Origin Sound in Houston with a head space described as 'somewhere between a Alejandro Jodorowsky film and a New Orleans voodoo den.' Beg Upon the Light's striking cover art was designed by artist Dann Miller and builds on the band's ever-evolving thematic that involves, among other things, magic, alchemy, extra-sensory perception and astrology; wide-eyed themes that lay 'on the outermost fringe of accepted forms of knowledge and discourse.' This is some heavy shit, people."

Venomous Maximus Announces Summer Shows
Houston metal band Venomous Maximus has announced summer U.S. tour dates set to kick off on July 13th in Dallas, TX. The group will hit twelve cities over the course of the two week "Hell Heroes Tour," and the following press release was issued about the band:
"Since its formation in 2010, Venomous Maximus has shared the stage with like-minded bands such as Mastodon, The Sword, Graveyard, Red Fang, Torche and Priestess and was named Houston's 'Best Metal Band' at the 2011 Houston Press Music Awards. Venomous Maximus gurgles with the sounds of proto-metal gods Pentagram and Blue Cheer as well as new-school leaders like High on Fire while the head space of the band falls somewhere between a Alejandro Jodorowsky film and a New Orleans voodoo den. Venomous Maximus Posts Tour Dates
Houston doom band Venomous Maximus has announced a few tour dates in its home state of Texas. The band has been streaming its recent EP "The Mission," which was put out by Cutthroat Records, over on MySpace.
