As such, we're proud and honored to be taken in by one of the most prestigious metal labels out there. Season of Mist is driven foremost by their passion for good music and they have an impressive roster of bands. We're very optimistic about a long and successful collaboration."
Season of Mist adds: "The sound of Exivious is hard to define; it operates in a space where metal meets fusion meets post-rock and still is none of the above. The band blends a wide variety of musical genres into a coherent, unified sound that’s driven by the incredible chemistry shared by the four musicians. You can get an idea of what ‘Liminal’ will sound like by listening to 'Entrust,' the opening track of the album." More...

Fusion metal band Exivious has issued the following announcement about deciding to call it a day:
"Dear Exivious community, for the first time since the release of our debut album back in May of 2009 I'm afraid we have to bring some really sad news. After careful consideration we decided to officially pull the plug on Exivious.
"It's not a secret that this band and the album we released last year are very dear to me personally, but also to the rest of the band who put in the best their talent and creativity had to offer to create something really unique. But besides our personal experience, we feel all of you out there who supported us the past year are part of our Exivious community as well and as such you guys deserve a proper explanation of what's happening.
"We're in a situation right now where we are simply unable to give Exivious the attention and love we believe it deserves. All four of us are completely consumed by other activities and it doesn't seem like this is going to change anytime soon. So instead of slowly letting our beloved band bleed to death, we rather put it to sleep ourselves. In retrospect, we were completely blown away by the overwhelmingly positive response from both our listeners but also the press who reviewed our album. Never did we expect to get such a warm and enthusiastic reaction to our crazy music. With this in mind we'd like to thank all of you who supported us by picking up a copy of our album in the past year! More...

Fusion metal band Exivious, which features Tymon and Robin Zielhorst of Cynic, has issued the following announcement about streaming their self-titled album online:
"This is your chance to check out our album without buying it! We decided to offer our entire album for streaming on both our official website and our MySpace. Check it out, spread the word and most of all: enjoy!"
A brand new Quietus mp3 has just been released on the official Quietus site, "Destroyer of Worlds," the title track from Quietus' 2002 demo, which has been re-recorded with the new drummer, Iwan Hendrikx. He used this as his audition for the band and refined the tracks for use in the new studio recording. Not only did it sound incredible, but he added his own groove into it and made some changes in a few parts. This really helps out in the songwriting process and smoothes out the edges. Also, Iwan mixed and mastered the song along with fellow Exivious bandmate Tymon Krudenier. The new version of "Destroyer..." is just a taste of what they're doing for the full-length debut CD, "BOW," which is already in the works. Scratch tracks have been recorded and edited, and recording will start shortly.
