The Great Old Ones Announces New Album
Cast from deep within the mist of Bordeaux, France, The Great Old Ones weave the chilling tales of H.P. Lovecraft into otherworldly black metal. With four albums under their cloaks, the band are masters of the unknown, the unseen and the unconquerable.
"Unlike so many of their contemporaries in the current black metal scene, they morph the stale post-black aesthetic into something monumental and individualistic, a sound that re-imagines post-black metal through an uncommonly aggressive lens", Angry Metal Guy wrote about their last collection of cosmic tales.
Now, five years after "Cosmicism," The Great Old Ones are back with a new dark and mountainous album that blurs the line between fantastical wonder and horrifying dread. "Kadath" opens with its lead single, "Me, The Dreamer", a two-part epic that tosses and turns like an accursed bout of insomnia. You can check out a visualizer video for the song below.

Always one to keep his head in the clouds, Carter embarks on a mind quest through the treacherous Dreamlands. 74 More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2020
The organisers of Belgium's premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting have confirmed a further 74 bands for next year's edition of the event. Among the newly confirmed bands joining previously announced headliners Judas Priest and Iron Maiden will be hard rock pioneers Deep Purple, nu metal favourites Korn, Chicago stars Disturbed, the recently reunited Mercyful Fate, California's own, Deftones and pop punk stars The Offspring. The festival will take place across four days from 18th-21st of June.

Eindhoven Announces More 2017 Bands

The Great Old Ones just revealed another sinister track cut from new album "EOD - A Tale Of Dark Legacy," which has been composed as a sequel to H. P. Lovecraft's masterpiece "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" and will finally break free into this world on January 27th.

Lovecraft's most fearsome entities, the Great Old Ones. In the course of our story, the protagonist realizes that the existence of the human race is vain. The Great Old Ones Signs With Season Of Mist
Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of The Great Old Ones. This French black metal cult will release a new full-length via the label worldwide, and will record the album in May.
Regarding the signing, The Great Old Ones comment: "We are very proud to announce that we have signed a deal with Season of Mist, one of the most influential metal labels. For us this will hopefully mean a great leap forward and an opportunity to spread the word of our master H.P. Lovecraft even further. The recording of our third album has been scheduled to take place with El Mobo in Conkrete Studio in May 2016."
