Brutal Assault Festival Band Upddate Announced

Brutal Assault Festival announces another band update for its upcoming 2019 edition. Tells the festival promotion agency:
"Let’s open this mega update with a black metal stormblast! Over seven years, deathlike silence has filled the halls of the world’s biggest black metal forge, whilst powers have been gathering to resurrect the band right in time for their 25th anniversary. And now DIMMU BORGIR have finally returned with a vicious work of art that is their latest album Eonian and they are coming to storm the main stage at Brutal Assault!
Wicked aural filth comes from the islands with GODFLESH, who are highly regarded as one of the pioneers of industrial metal; they took industrial to the next level with their fuse of heavy guitars and mixing it with slow drum loops and effects and their unique approach has spawned several musical styles since their conception.
Brutal Assault will also present a combo of iconic thrashers that need no introduction, ANTHRAX and SACRED REICH will make it to the fest alongside upcoming crossover thrash ministry IRON REAGAN and a staple name of the genre PRONG. More...

The Summer Slaughter Tour At Concord Music Hall
I'll admit that I've been out of the death metal scene for a few years and mostly listening to a lot of already established artists at the expense of new ones. In fact, I haven't been to a Summer Slaughter since 2011. So it was good to see a concert full of artists who I mostly haven't seen yet. Some really impressed me, other didn't. Either way, I wanted to be surprised by hearing artists who I mostly wasn't familiar with.
This year's Summer Slaughter Tour was primarily backed by Sumerian Records (who were also a major backer of Chicago Open Air) as a promotion of Sumerian's upcoming entry into films with American Satan. I'd normally have a problem with the biggest annual heavy metal tour in North America being rendered into a commercial for something completely unrelated but the former bearer of that torch was really just an advertisement for Monster Energy Drink. Krisiun Releases New Music Video
Krisiun just launched a new video for the song "Scars Of The Hatred," which was filmed at PartsySan Open Air 2015.
The video release comes along with a recent announcement of tour dates across Europe with Cannibal Corpse. Regarding the new video and upcoming tour, the band checked in with the following comment:
"Dear friends, it's such a immense honor for us in Krisiun to announce the following statement. The band will take the direct support slot on the next Cannibal Corpse European tour. Touring with these guys is not only a great opportunity but a great responsibility as well as Cannibal Corpse are clearly one of the biggest metal acts out there.
"We are proud and honored to be given the chance to perform right before them. Since the release of our latest album 'Forged in Fury' (Century Media Records) we have been touring non-stop and our live performance will be as hard and brutal as it possibly can be.
"We've been working relentlessly hard to represent what we call death metal and being part of this tour is a great achievement for the band. So, we'd like to invite all you death metal maniacs to come out and witness a night of pure relentless brutal music. See you at the show, we will share a beer." More...
Diamond Head Tops Off 70,000 Tons Of Metal 2016
The 2016 installment of 70,000 Tons of Metal will set sail tomorrow. Promoters UMC have declared the event a sell out and announced that the final act added to the bill is legendary UK act Diamond Head.
Metal Underground.com will be on board for the cruise and will provide coverage in the form of daily show reports, photo galleries and a four part video series featuring performance clips and other antics from each day.
70,000 Tons of Metal 2016 will sails from February 4th-8th from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and return to Jamaica with a stop at Falmouth.
The festival will board a new vessel, the second in as many years: The Independence of the Seas (via Royal Caribbean). The ship will accommodate four stages: The Alhambra Theater is a five-story concert hall in which they spare no expense to remove part of the (very comfortable) seating so you have a real Mosh Pit on the High Seas; The more intimate Egyptian themed Pyramid Lounge offers the local club atmosphere; The third indoor stage is in Studio B, the ice skating rink featuring a maritime version of the Arena experience and last but not least their jewel: The Pool Deck stage - The World’s Biggest Open Air Stage Structure to ever sail the Open Seas, surrounded by multiple bars and pools, plenty of room to sunbathe on several decks and even hot tubs incorporated into the Pool Deck stage to soak in while you watch the shows!
The All-Star Jam band, which returned this past January will also be back, led by Annihilator's Jeff Waters and members from the various acts aboard performing cover tunes live.
In addition, the ship will broadcast the upcoming Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers v. Denver Broncos live on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
