At a live show last night in Manchester, thrash act Megadeth briefly stopped the show due to technical problems, which apparently caused a fan to begin booing. Footage of Mustaine's response can be seen below, courtesy of YouTube user Tedthecamera.
Is this good old classic "metal as fuck" Dave, or new "what the sweet Jesus are you thinking" Dave? You decide!

Slayer has gone on record for years being anti gay.
Actually, country and rap are far worse.
I’ve usually found the metal community to be pretty much live and let live.
Does Mustain’s comments offend me?
No, the new album offends me far worse.
Besides, Dave has gone on record as saying he’s a huge Anderson Cooper fan so I don’t think his issue is with gays….I think he just lost it here.
What DOES bug me is that he won’t play “Go To Hell” or “Black Friday” due to his religious convictions and yet here he is…..running his mouth.
The hypocrisy is what bothers me.
I like the “jerk” Dave better than the right wing conspiracy theorist.
The jerk Dave gave us the best music.
Judging by that little rant, that Dave is very much alive and well….he just needs to let him out during the recording sessions.
And if he really hates gays that much which I doubt then…lock him a cage match with Gaahl in full face paint and body armor and watch little Davie go poo poo in his designer jeans.

That was awesome! Brian I don't think he meant his comments in a homophobic way I think it was more of a insult some jack-ass way. I have lot's of gay friends and I have heard them spout rants like this or worse! Also I agree why can't he let that guy out when recording and make something dark and brutal again. It sucks that I will never hear 2 of my favorite Megadeth song live as well.

Hey, if you pay you can get Fox News and the Daily Show here too! During the previous elections I found it oddly hypnotizing and to be honest, US politics affects the globe.
There are so many Americans on the internet that often it's easier to get sucked into political discussions from their point of view. If I say "oh but in New Zealand statistics on minorities say" the response will be "who gives a f***".

Brian, I remember checking Fox News because I wanted to see how they would react to the riots in England. We got a minute, half an hour in, which was preceded by a country music performance and something else which I don't remember because it was so irrelevant. Also their coverage of the riots wasn't as funny as I was hoping it would be. But yeah, I was surprised that American news stations seemed to only mention in passing that we were on fire.
I don't know about New Zealand, but all you need to know about British politics is, "Do I want to vote for the man wearing the red tie, the blue tie, the purple tie or the yellow tie?" There's other tie wearers, but nobody gives a tupenny fart about them. We also have semi-political groups like the English Defence League (who Mustaine would love) and offshoots of the banned group, Muslims Against Crusades, who basically just go around knocking the crap out of each other. Gotta do something before football kicks off.

Thanks Oz, I thought I was losing my mind. As I said very little was reported about the English riots and NOTHING was said about Muslims. Quite the opposite. The few pictures I did see were all white people running around.
Do you have any legitimate Euro news sources to read daily?....I've looked but everything seems just as biased as it is here.

I tend to stick with the BBC website for general goings on in Britain and the Eurozone. I find it pretty much down the line. I wouldn't trust any of our papers as they all have an agenda one way or the other. Our newspapers are basically the only place you'll really find liberals vs conservatives in the UK, I'd say.
I'm not going to be drawn into an arguement regarding Muslims, not least because my girlfriend and her family her Muslims and I won't apologise or feel any regret about who I love. But for the purposes of explaining a few things, here's what happened in the UK a few weeks ago regarding the Woolwich killing:
An English soldier, who was wearing a Help For Heroes shirt (a charity which helps soldiers returning from war) was run over by two men (who are also English, I might add.) They then hacked him to death with knives and a cleaver and waited for the police to arrive, explaining in the meantime that they'd killed the soldier because "Muslims are dying daily by British soldiers," before talking about how the government should be removed and troops brought home, for the sake of peace. When armed police arrived, they charged at them and were shot and wounded.
As expected, the whole country was outraged by the savagery of the attacks, including the Muslim Council of Britain, who immediately condemned what had happened. Nevertheless, the EDL mobilised and marched through London, fighting with the police as they went. The next day, a man was arrested after running into a Mosque with knives and discharging an explosive, and at least ten more Mosques were attacked within the week, as well as at least twenty reported cases of physical assault against Muslims, including against women. A few Mosques were all petrol bombed and vandalised. One EDL member was also caught spray painting the word, "Islam" on a war memorial.
Things have calmed down considerably now. Several arrests have been made (both EDL supporters and radical Muslims) and everyone's more or less gone back to their daily lives, but for a little while it looked like we were going to see a repeat of the 2011 riots.
