American heavy metal outfit, Lamb Of God has been confirmed as the second headliner for next year's edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival, closing the main stage on the second day of the festival. The organisers have also confirmed two more bands for next year in Swedish black metal veterans, Dark Funeral and Finnish heavy metal group, Amorphis, who had this to say about their performance:

"Greetings from Hell-sinki's 5K studio where Amorphis is finishing recording our forthcoming 11th album. Our agent gave us the great news that we are booked for Bloodstock Festival 2013! Bloodstock has become one of the best European metal events, so it's an honour to be part of the festival again. We promise to put on an epic show, so keep the horns up and see you at Bloodstock next summer!"

The festival will take place from August 8th- 11th in Walton On Trent, Derbyshire and will feature the following bands, with many more to be confirmed:

Ronnie James Dio Stage:

King Diamond (Headliner)

Indeed. He's a lazy troll.

Post 2/3 even admits to liking King Diamond who surely wouldn't exist if they weren't making a profit... And I'll go out on a limb and say that King Diamond are at least 25% more accessible than LOG. I'd go to this show but Fozzy will be there.

If I go, I'll have an early night on saturday.

I actually think LoG are more accessible than King Diamond though, at least in the UK and the US. King's vocals are a bit much for alot of people, whereas I know loads of people that like Lamb of God.
