Lamb Of God Frontman To Go Before Three Judge Panel

Band Photo: Lamb of God (?)
According to an article in The Gauntlet, Randy Blythe will have another bail hearing on Thursday, July 19th. The municipal court's three judge panel won't be convening until that date, so Randy will have his third shot at having his bail upheld. Even if the bail is upheld, the prosecutor can still have another court to rule on top of the municipal ruling. Blythe has been held for fifteen days in detention without an official charge being filed by the prosecutor's office, and has his U.S. attorney and two Czech lawyers assisting him with his case.
Czech courts deny bail when one is charged with murder (as opposed to manslaughter), terrorism and rape. They also will not grant bail when there is a danger of recidivism, tainting witnesses or fleeing the country. The video footage in question does not show Randy lifting a finger to the decedent (Daniel), and shows a security guard hired by the venue throwing him headfirst upon his third time jumping on stage and him staggering thereafter with a large gash on his head.

This better be the hearing where they release him on bail...didn't he already post the 200K? BG brings up a good point how will this affect the general european metal scene? after dime was killed here in the states things definitely got a lot tighter in terms of security and barricades....between this and the cro-mags incident its sad to see what music is coming to.

Based on the photo evidence in this article, things aren't looking too good for Mr. Blythe. I'm pretty sure every metalhead knows and understands the fact that harmless fun goes down on stage at pretty much every metal gig, but the photos in question SEEM incriminating at first glance, nevermind the fact that the deceased had already been pushed TWICE off stage and had fallen down on his own accord once, all PRIOR to when these shots were taken. There's something shady about the way the Czech legal system is handling this case (Apparently only rape, murder and terrorism charges can be denied bail so are they conjuring laws out of thin air?). In any case (no pun intended), why aren't we hearing from the first-row attendees of this concert? If anything can help with the case, it's those people stepping forward or being tracked down and interviewed individually. I mean, it's not like it was a huge open field/arena and if there was some serious damage being inflicted onstage, people would've come out with first-hand accounts TWO YEARS AGO. I'm not taking any sides until there's any concrete evidence proving guilt or innocence but this whole thing seems very suspicious to me.

There are testimonies from fans attending the concert stating that the incident which resulted in Daniel's death was not captured on film or video and occurred at the end of the show before the encore. Randy apparently made a gesture which was interpreted by the crowd as an invitation to come on stage. Several individuals climbed up on stage and Randy was noted as commenting that there were too many people on the stage. He apparently rushed forward and knocked several people off the stage one of which was Daniel who was getting ready to stage dive. His legs hit the guard rail and he flipped over backwards and hit his head hard on the ground and had to be carried out of the club by his friends.

This whole case is ridiculous, to all the czech metal fans, why are you not standing outside the embassy or the courthouse or something protesting??!! This incident could really affect the metal scene in your country dont any of you die hard metal czech fans care?! Anyone can clearly see this case is botched and is a complete money grab, you dont take 200k in bail and then not release someone because your making up some new law to not allow him to leave? You havent been able to charge him with anything and the fact that it was never brought to the bands attention is crazy! If someone died because of a show they shouldve been notified immediately!!! Not two years later when they come to play again. But in all seriousness im sure the metal community is very disappointed in czech fans, protest and get him out! Nothing puts more pressure on a case then a large protest, to all real czech metal fans, get out there and do something for a fellow metal head!!!!

Just saying, read people. If he left for America, it would be damn near impossible to get him back. Hes been detained further due to him being a flight risk. Which I wouldnt blame him for getting the f*** out and hiding in America, who wouldnt in a crazy case like this where youre either being bastardized or hero worshipped by your fans and nobody has any idea whats going on.

It's funny. All of the footage that I have seen is the point in the concert where the guard and Randy (with only one hand) push a person off stage. If you look at the angle that the person is launched, he would have landed on his feet. I have seen other footage that shows the person trying to climb onstage from the right side (away from Randy) and getting slung off by a guard. In that shot, the persons feet got hung up on the barricade and he would have landed on his head. Just my 2 cents.
