4ARM Drops Off "Zombie Apocalypse" U.S. Tour
Australia's 4ARM has been out on the band's first ever U.S. tour, dubbed the "Zombie Apocalypse" tour, alongside Casket For Cassandra, Prey For Sleep, and Deprivation. The group has now dropped off the trek, issuing the following statement:
"4ARM have been forced to walk off The Zombie Apocalypse Tour owing to sub-standard arrangements and communications on behalf of the tour promoters, Nemesis Records.
"As an example, the accompanying photo is of an actual venue at which the band was expected to perform. Needless to say, this was the final straw triggering 4ARM's exit from a poorly organised and misinformed operation. 4ARM warn all bands to exercise caution in dealings with Nemesis Records.
"4ARM apologizes to fans who were planning on attending any of the US dates, but would like to assure them of a return to the US under better circumstances."

Obviously I don't know the whole story and I have no idea what other problems with the promoters might have occurred, but if they dropped off just because they had to play a sh**ty venue I'd say that's pretty lame. Bands play basements and dive bars that are on par with what's in the photo above all the time, and it's not cool to deprive your fans or potential fans of a show because you think a location isn't good enough for your performance. If it was an issue of nobody showing up so there was no money, then fine, but to complain about playing a tiny shack? This is metal people, not top 40 pop.

Seems to me that the photo they provided is the exception to the rule and most places are decent for the caliber of bands on that tour.
Quote from an Interview conducted by OverKillExposure:
...What’s the meaning behind the band name?
Danny: The meaning behind 4ARM is to be prepared for battle. To “4ARM” is to be ready for anything! I guess it reflects on our tendencies to always over-prepare for everything we do, haha.
....
I guess they aren't willing to 'battle' there? Sounds like they'd rather avoid things than to actually be ready for them.

Man, it's got a Coke machine, plenty of seating and a garbage can. What more do they want?
