Female-fronted heavy metal act A Sound of Thunder, which is currently recording a new album, has issued the following announcement about an upcoming benefit show in Maryland:
"We're proud to announce that on July 7, 2012, we'll be playing a benefit show for children with cancer. All proceeds will go toward funding the kids at St. Jude, so please make it out if you can!
"This is a 2-day event with over 100 craft and food vendors, plus 26 bands. This is an all-ages show, so please bring the family and help us kick cancer's ass!"
