Oh yes! That sounded brilliant, in full sense of the expression.
That's what I love about Meshuggah; they're never stuck with any kind of formula of doing things, they do what they please. If one chord movement sounds right, one it is, if five sounds right, five it is. There's just nothing pretentious about this band.

I do like it, but I also found myself looking forward to a progression/dynamic that never really happened.
So I guess this puts me in the middle, somewhere between the poles...is this allowed??? Or does it make me an ignorant and moronic tasteless fvcking ashhole? :)

I can fully understand that some people are not into this band at all. They're not for everybody. I'm a huge fan and there are some Meshuggah tracks I can't get into.
But, I liked this one. It's not the best Meshuggah track ever or even close, but I still like it. And what I like about it is precisely it's simplicity.
Hellrat, that's perfectly fine in my books, but better check with DB to be 100% sure ;)

^ Nope, it just means you got high centered and stuck in the middle.
If you could get a little "higher" and listen again, maybe you'll find direction and get off center. ;)
And BTW, I'm not going to taste your fvcking ashhole. I don't care how many morons you can fit in there. lol

Ponderous, and beautiful. The bass is so dense... This track is definitely in the same family as "Nebulous" (a personal favorite) from 'Nothing'.
Because I was a 'Destroy Erase Improve' inductee, I''ve always had a soft spot for when these guys play in fast-forward mode but this track is a beast. Can't wait to hear the whole album.
Any guesses as to which track this is?

Damn yoo DJ! Not even a small little nibble? What if I had MORMONS in there? Could you resist a tasty little sample then? :)
Well smartypants, I say yoo can kish my ash anyway! Not on zis side (, and not on zis side ), but right in zee middle *!! Butt be careful, don't get bottomed out down there ;)
And yes, thank you X Behemoth, but I'm just waitin here for Zuntar the Munificent to grant me passage ;)

I like it but I’m relatively new to Djent.
Started with Osiris' “Discovery”.
I’m also really liking Vildhjarta.
People seem to calling them Meshuggah clones but I disagree.
Check out the song Dagger if you haven’t heard them.
I have to get Shuggy’s back catalog………sigh……..so little time……so little money.

It's all about atmosphere and filling those gaps with MESHUGGAH. Also, they're not gonna throw out their most punishing song on the album right out the gate. Let's wait till the drop till we go one way or the other. The sound is a bit different then expected. But isn't that what MESHUGGAH is all about?
