Marduk Announces New Album Title As "Serpent Sermon"

Marduk is currently in the studio finalizing the recording for the band's upcoming 12th studio album and follow-up album to 2009's "Wormwood" (reviewed here).

The title for the new album has been set as "Serpent Sermon," and it will see release later this coming Spring. The track listing and further information will be unveiled shortly.

A listening session for "Serpent Sermon" will also be held for special invited journalists and media in Stockholm, Sweden on February 11th, 2012.

But this band has been on the decline for awhile..... I always considered them a second tier black metal band. Nothing ever clicked with me. I wish Emperor would get back together. I consider them to be the best of the act!

Marduk is definitely not second tier BM, esp. not since Mortuus joined. Marduk is not for those who believe Emperor is the best of BM (note: I love Emperor, still).

Pretty eager to hear this release otherwise. Hopefully it's a little heavier than Wormwood. I liked it, definitely has a lot of strong moments, but it lacks a little spice, I believe.
