Sweden's Opeth has announced the "Heritage Hunter" tour, which will also feature Mastodon and special guest Ghost. Dates are as follows:

So Mastodon will be headlining (or "closing") the NYC, Philly, and CT shows, can someone please explain to me why this is? I like Mastodon as much as the next guy but why all three in a row? Doesn't make any sense at all. Plus those three shows will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I mean, who the f*** is booking these shows? NYC shows should be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ONLY! Period! End of story! I will end up going to one of those three shows but damn it, whoever scheduled this tour needs to be evaluated because this is just retarded.

I know its inconvenient having shows during weekdays but it just has to happen like that. If every show fell on a weekend then tours like this would go on for months and months and months and it just wouldn't make any sense from a financial standpoint.

I agree on scheduling of shows, the Monday will be marked on the calendar but damn it'll be a long 4/20 weekend recovery.... Can't wait a weekend of 420: Weed, Behemoth then Opeth!
