"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Unearth Streaming Entire New Album "Darkness In The Light"

Alternative Press is hosting a worldwide album premiere of Unearth's upcoming "Darkness In The Light" full-length, which is scheduled to hit North American record shelves on July 5th, 2011 via Metal Blade Records. Head over here to check out the album.

The 11-track long player was recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer (and Killswitch Engage guitarist) Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium, et al). Sitting in on drums during the recording was Justin Foley (Killswitch Engage/Blood Has Been Shed).

Comments vocalist Trevor Phipps of the record: "This album is without a doubt some of the heaviest, most dynamic and memorable tunes we've ever written. The disc is littered with the shred 'n' stomp-filled songs our fans would expect from us, as well as some added vocal hooks, guitar melodies, guitar solos and some different paths taken in style and structure. We knew we had to continue to separate ourselves from the pack and to cement our place in the heavy metal world as one of the leaders and not as one of the many followers that seem to hop on the trend wagon and give up so easily when the going gets hard. We are here to stay and collectively we couldn't be any more fired up to play these songs around the world for our fans new and old. So check it out, spread the word of underground metal and leave some feedback. See you on the road!"

"Darkness In The Light" will be released in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Norway July 1st, the rest of Europe on July 4th, North America, Spain and Italy on July 5th, Finland and Hungary on July 6th, Australia July 8th, and Japan on July 27th.

The track listing is as follows:

1. Watch It Burn
2. Ruination Of The Lost
3. Shadows Of The Light
4. Eyes Of Black
5. Last Wish
6. Arise The War Cry
7. Equinox
8. Coming Of The Dark
9. The Fallen
10. Overcome
11. Disillusion

Haven't got their last 2 album, but this sounds pretty promising.

Another thing I thoroughly enjoy with this band is the EVER developing style of the guitarists.

Have every record these guys have ever dropped. Last two albums were amazing, although each one had there weaknesses.

Really looking forward to grabbing this one.

This shreds massively. Can't wait to blare this record out of my car's speakers, racing down the highway.

I like "watch it burn" the best I think. Im not minding this album, but not loving it either. Maybe its Adam D's producing, and too much clean vocals!! Ken Susi needs to just stick with playing guitar.

I can handle the clean singing. Give 'em something new without majorly over doing it cause you don't hear the clean vox that much.

I'm vibin' on this pretty good actually. Eyes Of Black, Last Wish, and Arise The War Cry are 3 of my favorites of this album. But I could let this thing play through while I do things around the shop and home.
