"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Human To Record Fourth Album

Christchurch, New Zealand metallers Human (who were also highlighted in the New Zealand edition of our Unearthing the Metal Underground column) have completed the tracking of a new set of demo songs for their 4th studio album, which they will begin recording in July of this year.

The band randomly selected 20 of it's Facebook fans to preview and rate the songs. Guitarist / vocalist / founding member Scott Spatcher-Harrison says, "We had a slew of songs to pick from for our next release and decided that this time around we would prefer to see what the metal fans really wanted to hear from us. It's all very well and good for us to go and pick the songs we like for an album, however we're not the ones buying it so we wanted to get a look into what the people want from us instead. And if it ends up being full length or an EP at least we'll know we've got a solid recording anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing what reaction the songs will get."

Songs include: "Dawn of The Braindead," "Death Comes Shuffling," "Teenage Bonesaw Massacre," and "Retardo The Avenger," among others.

The band's forthcoming album will be a follow up to the 2009 release "Cadaver Academy."
