High On Fire

San Francisco's critically-acclaimed power trio High On Fire have signed to Relapse Records. The group, consisting of guitarist / vocalist Matt Pike (ex-SLEEP), drummer Des Kensel and bassist George Rice, was named as "one of five metal bands to watch for" by Spin Magazine, who went on to call HIGH ON FIRE "The (Stoner / Doom) genre's 'Platonic ideal'. High On Fire will enter the studio in January with long time producer Billy Anderson to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new record.
