Dragonforce announced the recruitment of new vocalist Marc Hudson earlier this year, who is replacing former singer ZP Theart. Roadrunner Records has now issued the following update about Dragonforce performing an upcoming show with the new vocalist:

"A special 'Up Close and Personal' show at The Troubadour on Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles is scheduled for this Tuesday, October 18th. DragonForce will return to the US after a two year absence to perform a special one off intimate show to give fans a unique opportunity to preview their new singer, Marc Hudson, and brand new songs from their highly anticipated forthcoming album.

"Before moving to the big stage with full production on their World Tour which commences early 2012. This will be the only show in western North America this year and tickets will be strictly limited to 2 tickets per person. You can pick up tickets here! On sale now!"

Good news, glad they found the right singer and could carry on. Dave is an awesome drummer. Btw 'who am i' why are you even reading this if you think dragonforce suck? Keep your comments to yourself.

Probably because this is a metal site that has the name underground in it. We are entitled to negative opinions great Messiah. Dragonforce is more pop than anything else. I agree with that person. A new singer won't help them.

What does this being a metal site with the name underground in it have to do with your right to leave a negative opinion? I mean you are entitled to your negative opinions but not because of the reasons you gave.

Metallix: I wasn't even saying this should be on here (although it should be on here). I was just commenting on something that someone else said that didn't make any sense to me.

Agree w/zombie. The name of the site is irrelevant here- hell, if they can talk about Def Leppard, they can about Dragonforce here. And everyone's entitled to their opinion, positive or otherwise. That being said, Dragonforce sucks. Liked them at first, but it got old quick.

Dude, Who Am I, there's 16 (well now 17, with mine) comments on this page, and your almost half of them. Put all your thoughts into one god damn comment.

DragonForce was good a little while back, but their sound just got old too quickly and they don't seem to be willing to change their sound anytime soon. If the guitarists aren't willing to change than you need new guitarists not a new vocalist. But if your gonna get rid of both the guitarists you might as well just split-up.
