August Burns Red Reveals New Album Title As "Leveler"
American progressive metalcore act August Burns Red has revealed the title of its upcoming studio album. The fourth album from the act will carry the title of "Leveler" and will hit store shelves on June 21, 2011 through Solid State Records.
The band commented on the album by saying:
"Putting out a fourth record is a little scary because we obviously have our sound figured out at this point, but we don’t want to put out a record that just sounds like a redux of our previous albums. Our tastes are always evolving as musicians and we’ve been motivated to progress as a band and push ABR in different directions, while maintaining the characteristics that made us the band we are in the first place."
Footage of the band in the recording studio can also be found at this location.

^^^ RIGHT!?!?!? omfg!! i thought i was the only would who thought that about that song lmfao
but dude, if u rlly listen to each of their album, there are pretty big differences. i couldn't stand the old vocalist, but thrill seeker wasn't bad. it was just (almost) plain metalcore, but i guess kinda mathcore inspired. then, the savior that is Jake came into the picture, and messengers was fvcking amazing. a little less metalcore, a bit hardcore, and a lot of technicality. constellations on the other hand, was a little more of a "progressive" sound and had much more melodies. now this new one, titled "Leveler", just the title alone sounds like it'll be heavy as fvck! lmao
btw bam bam, add me on fb, whenever u can, and if u even have facebook lol we've got much music to talk about. u've indirectly alrdy got me into danza, btbam, DEP, and idk who the fvck else!! lmao

i did last night. i think. i mean, i hope it's u lol and i would LOVE for abr to continue getting even more technical. that'll be amazing! BUT, for the very little clip i saw of jake doing vox, and heard a bit of the music, it just sounds like continuing the melodic, progressive sound of their previous album. which idm either tho.

Some of the best are yet to come my friend... Arch Enemy, Origin, In Flames, Vader, Decapitated, The Faceless, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Tool (the last 4 are hopes lol) are all gonna release good sh** this year. I'm glad all the tech-death titans are comin out with albums, if only Necrophagist would release their album this year (f*** the wintersun - 'Time' hype...) That would make me the happiest person in the world, fact :)
