Scar Symmetry Streaming New Song "Illuminoid Dream Sequence"
Swedish melodic death metal act Scar Symmetry has just posted a new song by the name of "Illuminoid Dream Sequence" to the band's official Facebook profile at this location.
Commented drummer Henrik Ohlsson: "Illuminoid Dream Sequence displays an encounter with the unseen and insane ethereal forces that guide the members of the Illuminati. These forces use humans as portals into our world and all they want is to dominate and control everything at any cost. The music for the song is very special since it goes from pretty progressive yet mellow parts into pure insanity and then back again!"
The band's new album "The Unseen Empire" (which marks the bands second album with singers Robban Karlsson and Lars Palmqvist) will be out April 15th, 2011 via Nuclear Blast.

The clean vocalist (Lars I think) has a rasp to his voice. His range is good, but the vocals aren't clear and powerful, there's a little rasp going on. Still a great band, great track, these guys really did well after Christian left. They still sound like Scar Symmetry. I'm sure the new album will be a step up from Dark Matter Dimensions.

I have to say I liked the new song. But Scar Symmetry still isn't the same without Christian Alvestem. Like listen to the first 2 songs on SS facebook with the new singers, then listen to the last 3 with Alvestem. You'll definitely hear the difference. They were at their prime with Holographic Universe. I think that album is a melodic death metal masterpiece. I hope I'm not the only one out there who thinks that.
If I am so be it but definitely give it a listen anyway because reguardless of what album Scar Symmetry is still a good band.
