"Beast"? Doesn't seem very Devildriver-like. Anyways, i hope this one is better than that disappointment called "Pray For Villains"

i'm with SoS on this tho branded. the title just plain sux. let's just hope that the album cover doesn't, like pray for villains'. i understand why ppl say that it was a disappointment, kuz it was, but it didn't suck, it just didn't reach or succeed expectations after the fury and last kind words.

While i agree that Pray for Villains wasn't up to par with they're other material, it is only fair to point out that its similar to "Kill" then "Evisceration Plague" with Cannibal Corpse. Kill was meant to be an insanely fast and furious death metal record, while E.P. was meant to be more groovy to compliment Kill. DD have stated they're doing the same with these 2 records, where PFV was they're Groove Death album, and Beast is meant to compliment that by being they're fastest and heaviest record. Lets just hope that is the case and not just fluffery. I did enjoy the title track and Resurrection Blvd on PFV, though.

having the cross of confusion tatted on me im not thrilled with the record entitled BEAST but dez is a genious and you cant judge music based on a word so wel let the music speak 4 itself n see but P4V was amazing i honestly of all the recordz the 1st self-titled never grew on me cept for 3-4 songs their best work is FURY which i saw in a webisode interview with DEZ saying that was his least favorite record when the last kind words was coming out

^^^ get what ya mean. to me, DD's actual defined sound didn't rlly start until 'the fury', but i've been into them since the s/t's "i could less" music vid premiered on uranium on fuse. i was a fan of coal chamber and i didn't recognize dez lol but i don't understand why dez would say that about 'the fury', but imo, last kind words is by far their greatest record.
