While I dont like to associate myself in the category that many of their fans are in, I do like this band. I understand that they arent as talented as tons of other bands out there but that doesnt mean I cant enjoy them, had to put that out there before getting ripped on.
Honestly if it wasn't for what happened with the rev I probbly wouldnt like the direction this album went at all, but alot of the songs wouldnt be what they are if that hadn't happened. I had a couple close friends of mine die in a car accident a couple years ago and alot of what is expressed in this album I compare to how I felt then and still do now. For that reason I really like this album.

#28, Whatever works for you dude I can respect that. They do make very catchy music and the truth is they have a retardedly large fan base. I personally don't take this band seriously for one minute though. But I certainly wouldn't bash you because I occasionally listen to some catchy metalcore like Killswitch and Atreyu.
I still don't feel bad for supporting Atreyu even after seeing them sell out. That was actually the show I saw A7X at, Atreyu played before them. Atreyu and A7X both have extremely un-talented vocalists and for me the highlight was watching first Dan Jacobs shred with the raining blood guitar and then suprisingly enough watching Synyster Gates. He can actually play his solo's I can tell you that. Whether or not he writes them is up for debate.
Haven't listened to the new album yet, curious to hear these "hard" tracks. ;)

#30 Synyster writes the majority of his solos, the rest is like input from the band. And yes, he can play damn good. This album he seems to have developed alot more feeling in his playing. Speed seems to have picked up and it seems much more technical. Sadly, he hasn't really gone all out yet. I love this band and it seems everyone thinks they've gone soft. They're just experimenting..they like concept albums for some reason. But I would like to hear a Waking the Fallen/City of Evil mix. Throw in some longer more technical guitar solos and I'd be in love. (:

Hm..this might be interesting..though i really dont like mot of the stuff on nightmare..the heavier tracks are pretty good, but the slow ones ruin it x.x
