Album Sales of New Burzum Album Belus to Contribute to Haiti Relief

According the the official blog of Burzum's Current label, "Byelobog Productions announced that proceeds of the forthcoming Burzum album “Belus” will benefit victims of the earthquake in Haiti."
According to Vikernes, “Black metal is not a label I use for my music any longer,” said Vikernes. “It was the dark, the Dionysiac, and that is a force no man can control. Instead, I pursue the pure and honorable, which includes racial purity for Norwegians, and helping those who suffer misfortunes in life.” Vikernes added that the album will be released March 8 worldwide, including in quake-stricken Haiti.
The exact percentage of money from album sales is unknown at this point in time.

I was considering it before since I don't have any Burzum and am pretty excited about this release, but now he's willing to do this I'm more likely to pick it up. that said, im not really sure what to think. im not sure if its the label pushing this, possibly even funding it from their half of the album profits to try to cut some of the hate and animosity people harbor towards him, or if he's actually trying to be nice... who knows with this guy.

actually zoon, the 2xLP version sold out in pre-sales on the first day it was offered (fortunately, i was lucky enough to grab one). that's 1,000 copies sold out before it's actual release. granted, CDs are dead (or at least dying), but there are still people out there that buy them. i know several people who pre-ordered both the vinyl & CD versions. long story short, this will most likely be one of the bigger metal releases out this year... and most certainly THE biggest for black metal.
and regardless of how much is being donated, i think it's a noble gesture, although it is most likely being done on the label's part.

Does that make the kid stronger? There are far more dishonorable ways to kill people than there are true tests of strength in our world.
