Carrion Vael Premiere New Single & Music Video "1912" From Upcoming New Album "Slay Utterly"

Carrion Vael have released “1912,” the second single from their upcoming fifth album Slay Utterly. The Richmond, Indiana-based technical melodic death metal band continue their deep dive into true crime on this record, examining the lives and victims of serial killers and other brutal cases. This new track draws inspiration from the infamous Villisca, IA axe murders of June 10th, 1912—an unsolved crime in which eight people, including six children, were slain in their home overnight.

The band offered the following comment:

“Some tragedies serve as a gruesome reminder of evil’s capabilities to sleuth beneath the surface of even the most scenic of small town communities. On a stifling June night in Villisca, Iowa, a mother, father, and 6 young children, saw first hand a portrait of the truly wicked. Unfortunately, they were the only ones to witness it, as no one was ever apprehended for the murders. ‘1912‘ dives into this horrifying mystery, and we let waves of brutal blasting lead the way.”
