very fortunately, this young rat's metal induction continued and was consecrated several months later at my friends and my first metal show at age 10 (thnx to Painter's dad!!)....WORLD SLAVERY TOUR 1985!!!

Tingley Coliseum-- wasp opened and they were chunder! Maiden blew all of our grommet minds away!!! it was absolutely incredible...the world would NEVER be the same!

STILL hard to top that one 25 years later...but a few have come close :)

Iron Maiden's 2010 album. Words cannot describe my impatience as the release date draws nearer. I wonder what exciting new things Maiden will bring to the table, following up AMOLAD is going to be tricky. However, I have complete faith that they will exceed and utterly shatter our sky-high expectations with their latest effort. Keep your ears peeled for any leaks!

Oh, and I'd like to see Slipknot change the world and define a beautiful music genre like Maiden has, or ever produce a work of even the slightest relevance rather than the trash that has been packaged and sold as "albums" since their conception. Just something to think about, valentine_no_more.

It would be cool to hear them go back to their roots a bit, but whatever it's Maiden, I love all their albums this should be good no doubt.

Every album they've put out since Bruce's return has been a f***ing triumph.

I'll be amazed if they manage to go one better than "A Matter Of Life And Death".

I just cannot wait.

this is great to see. you go to an article on this site about metallica, who some would say are not quite as big as maiden, others would say are bigger, and you get a load of trolls. everyone here is just upping the irons. glad i started liking maiden. there's less hate here.

I think the big difference 'tween 'tallica and IM is that Maiden never once altered their sound in any way to be more acceptable to mainstream audiences. With every Metallica release I hope it's "the one" that puts them back to true form, but you can ALWAYS rely on IM to melt your f*cking face.....If there is a god, he looks like Steve Harris, though he probably still wouldn't have the bass skills.....
