Brain Drill Posts New Song, "Monumental Failure," Online and Films Music Video
Santa Cruz, CA technical death metal band BRAIN DRILL has posted the new track "Monumental Failure" on their MySpace page.
Bassist Ivan Munguia comments; "Monumental Failure has a couple of the most mosh inducing riffs on the new album Quantum Catastrophe, but it also showcases the direction we are heading in terms of songwriting. Monumental Failure was one of the first songs written for the Quantum Catastrophe so in a way, we're easing listeners into some of the more complex songs that we wrote."
BRAIN DRILL recently shot footage for their first music video for the upcoming album "Quantum Catastrophe" for the track "Beyond Bludgeoned." The video was shot in the middle of nowhere near Birds Landing close to the San Joaquin Delta/Rio Vista, CA and was directed by Nikko DeLuna and shot by Justin Potter.
Bassist Ivan Munguia comments; "This guy that Nikko knows had a hookup that let us onto this utility company owned land. There was a dilapidated old house and some pretty cool scenery so we figured it was a good spot to shoot. We picked Beyond Bludgeoned as the first video because we feel it's one of the strongest songs on the album and showcased everyone's contributions to the album."
Quantum Catastrophe will be available everywhere on May 11th.
Brain Drill is:

My problem is that they switched out literally half the band, so I'm sketchy as to whether I should be excited for this new release, especially, since they gave Lord f***ing Marco the boot.
I like th enew song I heard, just not as much as any of the songs off the first album, hence why I'm....meh....on whether to be happy or not to hear a new song.

I have no doubt this will be an album of the year frontrunner, this album matches my excitement for the new Arsis (which is as brilliant as all of their previous albums btw) Can't wait!
