Draugr Comments On National Sociaist Black Metal Allegations

Italian metallers Draugr have issued the following statement about allegations that their band is involved in the national socialist black metal movement:

"Dear all, recently we heard rumors speaking about us like a band involved in some nsbm movements. A repentine answer is needed! Draugr band is firmly outside from any political message of any kind, left or right winged. Lyrics, and everything about Draugr, are about Nature, our region (Abruzzo), Folklore, History and local legends, and hard drinkings too. The band (playing from years, everywhere) never had problems of any kind, especially with that, and all people we have known can speak for us.

"We were accused to be an nsbm band due to our collaboration with the underground label Christhunt Productions, that seems to be connected to some ns movement. At the time of our collaboration with the label, we didn't know these facts, and, instead, we have to be grateful to CHP because it believed us and many people know Draugr thanks to CHP. Every ns involvement of CHP is none of our business. It was said that members from Draugr are in Sturmkaiser too, and SK band is considered ns, but this is false and a complete statement about that is to be found in SK myspace page.

"In the past we had concerts with some bands considered ns, the reason is that we like music in its quintessence and we don't care about the bad or good name of someone, we just make music and we are friends with everyone, inside or outside politics, right or left faction. If someone thinks that Sturmkaiser is no good, can not think the same of Draugr just because musicians inside are quite the same, and vice-versa. Music is free and we respect every kind of art, we never harmed someone or accused any band of infamy and shit like that. We don't support politics in music and we never had, every symbol, or phrase, even jokes, must be considered part of a ludic-artistic contest and we are sorry if some people got offended. Everyone who shared the stage with us got a terrible headache due to a lot of alcohol consumed together, and we can assure that you are not able to make any kind of propaganda if you are totally drunk. We hope to put an end to this once and for ever, and we ask to our supporters to follow us a little more, because the dawn of 'De Ferro Italico' is quite near! Cheers and beers to you all."
