Arch Enemy/Carcass guitarist Michael Amott has parted ways with Randall Amplifiers/US Music Corp. The partnership lasted almost three years and included a line of successful "Ninja V2 - Inspired and designed by Michael Amott" series of V2 amps, cabs and practice amps. These products will now be discontinued.

Commented Amott: "I appreciate what Randall did for me while we worked together, but there was a big change in the company recently and it just didn't feel like home anymore. I'd especially like to thank former US Music Corp. employees Jody Dankberg, Doug Reynolds and the former CEO Rudy Schlacher for their vision, hard work and good times we shared!"

"Both myself and Chris (Amott, Arch Enemy) will be playing whatever we're interested in trying out for the next couple of tours and we'll see what comes out of that, the search for the ultimate tone continues!!!"

Arch Enemy kicked off their European headline tour with two shows in Greece this past weekend.

Thank f***ing god. Start playing the 5150s again. Or maybe ENGL? I think Chris Amott would sound badass through a Framus or and ENGL. Either way, hopefully they bring something badass to Vancouver \m/

Bristowe, I agree and I dont. The Randall RM4 module preamp was awesome, so were the 2004-2006 Randall heads (like V2), so were the Dime Warheads and most of the classic RGs.
But, I know Randall is a company that has changed hands quite a few times, so I it´s really tricky if you´ve got an endorsement deal with them (unless you´re Kirk Hammett, of course)
Where I agree with you 100% is ENGL. Incredible amps! The ENGL E570 is easiest the best preamp I´ve ever played through, and I´ve been playing the electric gt for some 18years.

In addition, I like the 5150s as well, btw. But, they´re too much of one trick ponies for me

Holy sh**! At first I thought it said Michael Amott Parts Ways with Arch Enemy! lol Well I'm glad they're getting rid of the Randalls. I've never really liked Randall Amps, but ENGL would be a really good choice indeed.
