UPDATE 10/14: Heri Joensen of Týr has issued the following statement and removed the original blog posting that contained the accusations leveled against him:
"You may have read the blog posted along with a picture on the Týr MySpace in the morning of the 14th of October titled 'The Truth About Heri Joensen.' That blog was not put up by anyone who has rightful access to the Týr MySpace site. It contained details about private matters concerning me. I would like to ask you to respect the privacy of all parties involved, and to not reproduce the contents of that blog anywhere on the internet. Thank you."

It's a cowardly and spineless act to cheat on your spouse, but it is as equally gutless to post your judgement and not have the 'nads to own up to it. I'm not one to be preachy and no one knows what goes on behind closed doors...maybe his wife was a total c*nt (I've had that experience myself) but to me, a lack of loyalty says alot for your character. Or the lack thereof. It ain't for me or anyone to judge, I just wanted to clarify my earlier comments regarding "spineless" and "Gutless" people. I think we are all defined by our actions, and to say it's ok for someone to cheat because they are an entertainer is , to me , short sighted. You are as only as good as your word, your oath to another person is a direct representation of YOU. So, I don't wanna judge another man for crossing a certain line, but I have little respect for people who don't have the spine to say "Hey, f*ck this" BEFORE they commit a rash action. But maybe I'm just old-fashioned.....

He decided to forsake his responsibility as a father in one of the worst ways possible and thus should have the weight of the entire world crashing down upon him. In lieu of that, metal fans giving him sh** left, right and center will do as a temporary replacement.
As funny as it sounds, won't somebody please think of the children? Apparently this guy didn't.

Knowing Heri and his wife for many years, I must admit, that Heri has changed character.
He used to be loving, caring and supporting. The last two years Heri has changed and the result is as posted.
Unfortunate for the two people he has left behind, but then again, what use is a husband and father that treats his wife and child in such a bad way.

2) However, I really hope that this info was incorrect, because in no way such behavior should be tolarated. Musician or not, if you have arrangement with other people, you stick to it. Would not it be ironic for someone who sings of norse heroes to behave absolutely opposite?
3) Certain things come to an end-if you feel you dont love someone, talk it over to them and end the commitment before you do anything else. otherwise you are showing yourself as an a$$hole. If wife sits back home and not cheating on the husband, what gives the husband a permission to not be loyal in his absence?
4) The fans or the band should NEVER encourage such behavior-it's low and not *metal*. I have to say that if this indeed was an actual thing, then i lost all respect for Heri, and for Tyr in general, for he is representing the band as a singer. which is a total shame-because band is amaising.

not metal? Love, as in life, has no rules. I think the people who are shunning him should lower their lofty expectations. Just because you sing about norse gods doesn't make you one. He's only human. Give him a f***in break. And to the people he shunned and betrayed, including his band, since they seem to be so melodramatic about this whole thing should just get iver it and get on with their own lives, rather than spending all their energy whining about things they can't change. a girl i was with for three years, had a baby with her and everything, left me for one of my friends, so rather than mope about it, i f***ed her sister, i f***ed his ex, p***ed on her bed, and i sleep with her best friend on a regular basis. The girl was begging me to come back to her a month ago and i told her to piss off. I would wish as well, that it was untrue. Living in the Faroe Islands and standing close by, I can inform you, that it is all true.
I know this does not belong to the internet, but with myspace friends and facebook, you can see for yourself and make the connections. I can hardly accept much favorism of Heri, knowing the devastation behind the curtains.
And the whole story is so very much uglier, than has been revealed on the internet.
To those accepting this behavior:
Heri has been in several faroes news articles because of atheism and argumenting, that moral does not come from religion. I totally agree on this, being an atheist myself, but honestly, somebody singing about morals and vikings, should definetly have better values himself.
Do not mistake his wife for a complaining person. If you do not know it, she was Týrs manager from 2002 to 2005 and it is part of her effort, that they were offered a deal with Napalm and Listen Up management.
She will be fighting, but the fight will be for being a single mother and creating a safe and loving home. All behind the curtains, life will go on without him and like I said in my previous post, no one needs a person with no moral values.
