Arch Enemy has issued the following statement about today's Rockwave festival in Greece being canceled:

"Heavy rain has forced the cancellation of the the first 'metal' day at this year's edition of the Rockwave festival, which is being held at Terravibe Park, Malakasa, Greece. Among the bands that were scheduled to perform at today's (Monday, June 29) event were MÖTLEY CRÜE, W.A.S.P., ARCH ENEMY, MONSTER MAGNET, VOIVOD, LAUREN HARRIS and INACTIVE MESSIAH.

"Michael Amott comments: 'As you can see, a lot of rain has fallen over the beautiful city of Athens and its surroundings these last couple of days! We are disappointed that we couldn't play as planned as we were looking forward to it very much. The good news is that we have booked two headline shows in Greece on the 27th and 28th of November. Something to look forward to - we will see you Greek metal heads again soon!!!'"
