Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, Mikael, and obviously YOU don't care for songs about vikings (don't remember any crystal balls being mentioned...), but I loved it, and I guess a lot of other people do, too! It was awesome, and I can't wait to hear more from them. I don't know... sounds to me like a severe case of sour grapes... And as far as the RJD comment, if I were them, I'd thank you - schmuck. Anyway, great job, guys - keep it coming!

Okay, so now I get attacked for having an opinion. I'm from Norway, and metal is HUGE here. But not this kind of metal anymore. There are a few groups still liking to play this kind of music, but they are dying a quick death here. The recording is decent, but the subject matter is long past it's time. Maybe in the 80's this would be good, but not today, not for me anyway. I don't know what you mean by sour grapes, but if it means that I'm am a jealous person, that couldn't be more wrong. I do not like this music, so I am not jealous of it. And I'm not a musician either. But I know good music when I hear it. And to me, this is not what I like. I don't think it's right to be called a schmuck when I only stated my opinion, just because it doesnt match yours, doesnt mean I'm right or wrong...or a schmuck.

These guys are great! I can’t wait to get the CD. As for their topic of what they sing about that stuff is in! Amon Amarth is like one of the top Metal bands in the world, what do they sing about?Ummmm Vikings medieval battles and dragons, cool stuff in my book I’m glad to see this type of music come back around.Oh and for you that dont know the picture of the guy in the right corner of the page is the singer for Amon Amorth, from Stolkholm, Sweden.
meatlhead out!

I can understand Mikaels point. Without even listening to it, I know I wont like this music either, and I think its dated based on subject matter, but different strokes for different folks. I think you were "attacked" because you made negative comparisons. If people like it, then they will listen to it. If they dont, then they wont. Thats the beauty of CD players. If you dont like their CD, put in a CD that you do. More constructive criticism instead of belittling comments would have been a better choice. You know, the whole you catch more flys with honey thing?

Haven't listened to the band but as far as "dated lyrics" go, metal is about singing about what you want not popular or current trends. Real sucking is jumping on a bandwagon singing about and cutting yourself feathers in autumn because everyone else is doing it.

So I went to the Drakonus myspage page, and couldn't click away fast enough. People still listen to that? I mean seriously, it was like Ronnie James Dio back when he was in a garage band, and not in a good way. Nobody cares about Vikings and crystal balls anymore. Show me the person that signed this band, and I'll show you someone that lost a bet. The video should be easy, just record someone playing World of Warcraft and put their so called music to it.
