Morbid Angel Frontman Speaks On New Album
Morbid Angel frontman Dave Vincent was recently interviewed by Australia's PyroMusic.net regarding a variety of subjects. During the interview, the topic of a new studio album came up:
Pyromusic.net: Your legions of fans want to know - what is the latest on the new studio album? How far into the process are you at the moment?
David Vincent: "We're coming along very well and we're all excited about it. After our visit with you and a few dates elsewhere it's all about the new release!"
Pyromusic.net: Great stuff. Have you decided on a title for it yet?
David Vincent: "We haven't discussed it but even if we had, the chances of getting me to divulge such evil secrets would be slim at best."
Pyromusic.net: How does the new material compare to your back catalogue, both stylistically and lyrically?
David Vincent: "We have added a new track ('Nevermore' - view below) to the set that has been very well-received. Of course Morbid Angel albums have always been filled with diversity, I wouldn't compare one thing to the next but I will say that no one will be disappointed."

To Shredder 13,
Personally i share the same opinion with you.Show no Mercy is one of the best metal album to come out in the 80's.And it has the best melody that a metal album should have.I consider Show No Mercy are better than Metallica - Kill Em All Album(No offence to The Metallica fans out there).I hope the new Slayer album will have the same melody as with Show No Mercy.I'ts been a while since there created albums like Season of the Abyss or Show No Mercy. Both of this album are badass and are to be considered their finest work.

Replica - SNM had pure aggressive melody in it. Both Kerry and Jeff did a great job with the guitar work. It would've been great to hear some more tracks like that in Hell Awaits. Although, Hell Awaits consisted of nothing but raw intensity (which is great). Hopefully their new album will sound somewhat like their early work but, I highly doubt it.
Leprosy - Indeed "Hell Awaits" is a great album! I like the vibe it summons when I pop it in a cd player.
As for the topic, Morbid Angel better deliver on this new album.
