Italy’s greatest musical export, LACUNA COIL, have returned with the massively anticipated, new full-length release, Shallow Life, and have undoubtedly proven that they are one of hard rock’s most revered artists as the album debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. This impressive position marks the band’s highest Billboard chart entry, as well as the highest Billboard debut in the history of Century Media Records. The disc also scored impressive chart entries across the world, most notably at #2 on the UK rock charts. The new effort was recorded with acclaimed producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Pearl Jam) at the famed NRG Studios in Los Angeles.

Cristina Scabbia (vocals) comments: “Thank you, thank you and thank you all! After its first week in the stores, Shallow Life entered The Billboard 200 chart at #16 and we are absolutely thrilled. Most of all, we couldn't be happier about the fact that you (Our Fans) have supported us and our work, once again. It's been a beautiful journey, together we have shared the same passions for 10 years and this is another goal we have reached and are celebrating together with you all out there. Thank you for being part of the LACUNA COIL family and see you all on the road soon. Rock on!”

The band would also like to invite fans to create their own interpretation of Shallow Life and the songs on the album. All fan submissions can be uploaded to Lacuna Coil's group album by clicking here.

LACUNA COIL recently completed a stunning new video for the Active Rock smash hit “Spellbound” that was shot in their hometown of Milan, Italy at the world famous Dolce & Gabbana nightclub Gold. The clip was directed by Saku, produced by Apnea Film and wardrobe was also provided by Dolce & Gabbana. Click on the link below to check it out by clicking here.

LACUNA COIL are heading into the final weeks of the “Music As A Weapon IV” tour alongside such hard rock titans as Disturbed and Killswitch Engage, crisscrossing the U.S. before finishing May 16th. The 38-city “Music As A Weapon IV” fest marked the group’s first run of North America in almost two years. Feel free to visit the newly revamped Myspace page to view their complete touring itinerary.

I allmost cried blood tears when listening this album as a longtime lacuna coil fan... not enough words to expres my dissappoint for the crew. Just couldnt listen any of the songs fully but skipped em all after about one minute, so this was kind of a 10mins one-time album for me.

I've never been able to understand the success of this band. I bet they have a lot more Cristina fans than actual music fans. I'd rather shoot myself than listen to them

I have to say I felt the same way Crybaby does. I was extremely disappointed in the route they went with. I was hoping to hear more of their European sound but it ended up sounding more rock oriented. I can't listen to this album. Other than one song, I really do hate this album. Thankfully, I didn't go out and buy it.

I agree with Jamez, this band is lame......you wanna hear a good band fronted by a female who can actually sing, listen to the new Agonist album.

I think LC should be at NO. 1 in the near future! Yes , I have an obsession with the band ! ( I just think the sky is the limit ! ) . It blows my mind , that they have more cards up their sleeves then anybody in ROCK the last 10 yrs. ... Being at NO. 2 in the UK , GREAT ! The BRITS know what a GREAT band LC is & I bloody agree with them!!! WAKE UP AMERICA !

They're not bad at all really, but not as amazing as they're said to be. I'm a fan of theirs and I'd say they're heavily overrated.

I like most of what Lacuna Coil recorded up until the last disc Karma Code. Haven't heard this one yet and from what I'm reading I won't be in any hurry to.
Deadlock is a good band from Germany; I believe, if you like what Scabbia brings but want something heavier.
