Job For A Cowboy has completed work on their sophomore studio album, "Ruination." The album will be released in July of this year through Metal Blade Records. Frontman Jonny Davy states: "Job For A Cowboy has toured the world and faced a ton of challenges over the course of the last year and a half. All of the hard work that we’ve put in and everything that we’ve experienced is directly reflected in our new songs, which we know are our best yet. Stay tuned."

hahaha how can you cay theyre not fake? just when scene sh** gets big they released their hXc doom ep(which is better then genisis). then they read forums of people making fun of them all over the internet for it so they completly change their image. right when pointless noisecore comes out. u saying jfac is good is just like saying trivium is better than slayer. it just cant happen

f*** it. i jus dont see why people who dont give two sh**s about a band comment and/or read an article about em. Either way, doom was better than genesis, but we'll see in July whether this album is worth anything or not. i don't see why people start arguing 'cred' and genre specifications through comments on an article that only mentions that a new album is complete.

I liked Genesis, but I do agree with post10, it was a bit Cannibal Corpse-ish. I also agree that their earlier stuff was better, and I felt a bit ripped off at the lack of pig squeals and that my copy of Genesis didn't have track 9 'The Divine Falsehood'... haha... well... you get what you 'pay' for...

I don't understand why people can't just respect musical preformers. Bands like Job For a Cowboy get no respect from some people, and they are obviously talented considering their level of popularity. People think that "if I don't like this then it sucks, these guys have no talent what so ever"... Makes no sense to me.

How many times do we have to say this?
A band's poupularity has NOTHING to do with talent.
Everyone knows Kurt Cobain. How many of them know who Yngwie Malmsteen is?
This band sucks because they suck. Generic, trend-following ruiners of metal. They are the maina and first reason I had for hating deathcore, and their more death metal cd was still crap in the face of all the other actual death metal bands out there. f*** Job for a cowboy.

It still amazes me how many people love to boast how much they hate a band. Get over it and listen to whatever bands you like, don't bother reading articles about scene bands if you think they are gay. Plus bashing bands like JFAC is as boring and tough as slagging on Slipknot back in the day.

It might be more respectable to stay true to your roots musically, but hardly any band follows that path. The reason they changed i dont know, maybe its just a natural progression for metal bands to either get harder or softer, they did the ladder. So i can respect them for that, but the name, god dam thats a horrible name for a band. I personally dont listen to them but at least they went from "scene" to a more respectable niche in metal.

I can't be bothered with an essay at the moment, but it is fundementally important to voice negative opinions - just as it is important to uncover injustice and lies in the world, it's important to call out negative infestations ruining a music scene which you love.

It still amazes me that this band has lone defenders floating around the internet...
